Peppermint Tea Or Peppermint Coffee: Recipes To Suit Either Preference
Coffee or tea? Which side of the argument do you fall on? Whichever type of hot drink you prefer, there's a seasonal treat that's just waiting to be enjoyed. If you like a steaming mug of hot tea to relax with at the end of the day, adding some peppermint flavor will make your drink more refreshing. If you prefer to wake up with a hot cup of joe, stirring in some minty goodness will add a little pep to your step.

Peppermint Mocha Latte
Here's a recipe for those chilly winter days when you just need a little extra motivation to get going in the morning. It's easy to make a mug of this wonderfully delicious drink in the early hours of the day while you wait for your car to warm up. By the time you get to work, you'll be ready to be super productive.
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
- 1 cup coffee, brewed
- Whipped cream, for garnish
- Chocolate syrup, for garnish
- Peppermint stick, for garnish.
Pour the milk, peppermint and vanilla extracts, and cocoa powder into your Mr. Coffee® Automatic Milk Frother and whisk together. Use the latte setting for the perfect consistency. Brew a cup of coffee and fill a mug about a third of the way full. Pour in the heated milk and top with a layer of foam. Garnish with whipped cream, chocolate syrup and a peppermint stick.
Garnished Peppermint Tea
Sitting down at the end of a busy day with a cup of tea can be quite relaxing. Peppermint tea is especially therapeutic because it can induce a very calm feeling. If you've just gotten in from a rough day at work, brew up a cup of the delicious drink and sink into your comfy couch.
- 10 fresh mint leaves, crushed
- 1/4 vanilla bean pod
- 4 tarragon leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon honey
- 1 cup water
- Cinnamon stick, for garnish.
Start by grabbing your Mr. Coffee® Hot Tea Maker. Place the mint leaves, vanilla bean pod, tarragon and honey into the stainless steel infuser. Place that and the proper amount of water into the machine and hit the button for herbal tea. In a matter of minutes you'll have a steaming cup of refreshing and rejuvenating peppermint tea. Garnish with a cinnamon stick if desired, and serve.
