Drinking coffee is the perfect way to start your day. You wake up to the smell of a brewing roast, pour and prepare your drink just the way you like it, and take that first awesome sip of the day. Coffee picks you up and gets you moving through your busy schedule. But did you know there are other ways to use coffee as you get ready in the morning? After you've brewed up a delicious cup in your Mr. Coffee® Advanced Brew 8-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker, try out some of these cosmetic coffee tricks.

1. Coffee Seed Oil
Made from pre-roasted beans, this oil is meant to be applied lightly to your face before bedtime. Don't worry, it won't keep you up all night. The oil is a natural way to combat scars, stretch marks and wrinkles. If your hair is dry, add a few drops of this oil to your shampoo for an extra moisturizing effort.

2. Eye Cream with Caffeine
Some eye cream products are beginning to incorporate caffeine derived from coffee plants. The ingredient helps reduce puffiness and prevent the signs of aging. The cream may even work to mitigate the effects of sun damage.

3. Sunscreen
While you probably don't want to slather coffee grounds over your body before heading to the beach, you can grab a bottle of sunscreen that has coffee extracts heading up the ingredient list. Coffee sunscreen is organic, vegetarian and isn't tested on animals. So the next time you head out for some fun in the sun, don't forget the coffee!

4. Facial Scrub
You can make your own exfoliating facial scrub with your leftover coffee grounds. Grind your beans finely in the Mr. Coffee® Automatic Burr Mill Grinder. It should make 6 tablespoons of grounds. Mix 4 tablespoons of olive oil into the grounds until it forms a paste that resembles coarse mud. Take a quarter-sized dollop of the scrub and rub it gently over your face to get rid of dead skin cells and provide a little extra moisture.

5. Organic Mud Mask
Looking to decrease puffiness and brighten your skin? Try out this awesome mask. In a bowl, mix together 4 tablespoons fine coffee grounds, 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, 8 tablespoons whole milk and 2 tablespoons honey. Smear the mask evenly onto your face, let it dry, then remove with a warm, wet cloth. Rinse your face gently and you're good to go.
