Rated 2 out of 5 by from Broke after 2 months. I bought this coffee pot in mid-March. It was wonderful having a regular coffee machine again. However, it stopped working altogether two months after purchase. I poured the water in, put the right amount of coffee grounds in, turned it on and nothing. The water didn't drip, and the hot plate didn't even turn on. Of course after two months, I have either thrown away the receipt or lost it. The only receipt I have is a screen shot of the product purchased in the Walmart Savings Catchers App. I'm really disappointed in Mr. Coffee. I had always considered it to be a reliable coffee machine company. This has made me second guess that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mr Dud My wife bought me the red and black 12 cup, program able Mr Coffee for valentines day a year ago and have had no issues till this morning when at 5 am she says the coffee pot isn't working. The lights are on but no coffee, the heating pad for the pot stays cold yet all the lights say it's on. The quality and dependability of of the Mr Coffee name has gone into the toilet and I do NOT recommend it to anyone else. I'm very curious on to what they say to me when I tell them that it stopped working. It's not like I have $40 -$50 to keep replacing them, it's a tight budget on military medical retirement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mister NO COFFEE I brought the Mr. Coffee red & black, like others I really liked this product until one morning (couple days ago) I turned it on. The green light came on, but not the blue light, beeped 3 times - shut off, again, again, & again. I unplugged the cofee maker hoping to reset. At least the other person got 2 cups before it shut off. LOL Sad part, I recommended this coffe maker to my mom, she brought it on 06/11/2014. Sure hope her's last a lonnnnnnnnnnnnng time. :) Recommend - Not now , 4 stars when it worked, 1 now for my 4-5 months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great design & reliable I bought the red & black one in November of 2012. I have used it everyday and in some cases twice a day since that time. I have never had any issues with it mechanically, and it is easy to clean & maintain. Among the things I love about it: the brew strength option, the chime letting you know it's done and the price when compared to other brands. It brews the coffee in a reasonable amount of time and it at a great temperature. I once owned a $150 Krups that also made expresso & cappacino's..ordinary coffee was ok, but the thing only lasted about 15 months. This one far exceeds the Krup (minus the expresso capability) and is MUCH easier to clean. For the price, this one is the best, IMO.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unhappy I have 2 of these coffee makers in the last 7 months. First one i was cleaning and saw condensation built up in the clock. Went to use it the next morning and nothing. No lights, no coffee brewing. Bought another one and this morning turned it on , the lights came on but the plate stayed cold. So since i had it ready to brew coffee i heated water on the stove and poured into it. After first cup of water through it, it started working. So after i had my coffee i cleaned it. After 2 hours of it being off the plate is still hot like its on but no lights. Will never buy another one again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Frustrated in love I absolutely loved my Red and Black Mr. Coffee programmable coffee maker and I haven't even had it but a few months then one morning, it did not brew. Oh goodness, in the past, I knew that the heating element made the coffee brew but in realizing, the lights were on but nothing was happening. I am very disappointed because people always say, "you get what you pay for" and I just didn't want that to be true since my Mr. Coffee was only around $40. I'm newly divorced and that would be my budget and now it seems it is not repairable so I will need to buy a new one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 7 months and it's failed completely After reading some of the reviews here, I feel fortunate we got 7 months from our unit, but now it overflows every time we brew coffee, regardless of pot size. I suspect the spring allowing brewed coffee to flow into the carafe has failed in some manner, but still unacceptable that we began having issues at 4 months of ownership. Our old Mr Coffee held up for 7 year which is why we went with another from the same mfgr. Very disappointed- and tired of drinking grounds.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Soaked counters Had one for 3 years before it started pouring water out of the bottom of the unit. Since we liked the old one, we bought a new one in red and black. Have had it 6 months and the new one pouring water out of the bottom again. I won't be purchasing a new one.
