Rated 5 out of 5 by RoyF from Great Coffee Simple to use I have owned many very expensive coffee makers and then I saw the consumer reports that said Mr. Coffee was a best buy. So I figured I would try for $20. Wow have I been a coffee snob! This machine makes just as tasty coffee and is easier to clean than my $150 machine. It looks great and has the same or higher quality of materials than my last few coffee makers. Well done. This is my second machine because I bought the base Mr. Coffee which worked fantastic and was even easier to clean , but does not have the auto shut off. And so after leaving the coffee maker on after leaving the house a few times and worrying about burning the house down, I stepped up to the automatic which a wonderful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Intergalacticadam from I'm really impressed I am an avid coffee drinker. I don't go to chain coffee shops often, prefer to grind my own beans, and try to know exactly where my beans are roasted. I've always relied on French presses and the like for home brewed coffee but my schedule lately hasn't afforded me the time to sit and enjoy the process. After several hours of research I decided on this model. I had heard good things about Mr. Coffee and wanted to give a counter top machine a try. I love the brew I get with this, it's pleasing to the eye, and a cinch to clean. Very, very budget friendly and makes a great cup of joe. A++

Rated 1 out of 5 by Flyacoop from Quit working after 1 pot I ran a pot of water through the system per the instructions, but it only brewed ½ pot and shut off. So I emptied the reservoir & started over. This time it brewed a full pot but steam was coming out (which fogged the clock) and sputtered water all over the counter. I unplugged the unit, let it cool completely and thought, "third time is a charm" and tried again. This time the coffee maker wouldn't work at all. The clock light came on, so I know it had power, but none of the lights on the front of the coffee maker work & of course it won't brew. I bought this coffee pot this morning and am returning it this afternoon. Very disappointing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sbtech from upgraded look, super reliable The brewer is an upgraded, more refined look, than our 6 year old one it replaces. The old one still works fine but has some rustiness on the warming plate probably due to inevitable water drops and splashes I initiate. The new one has the same control buttons but the Strong brew button doesn't stay as the Default. It must be pressed each brew cycle if you want the strong brew feature (which is barely different than the regular). The old one stayed Strong by default if you pressed that. The end-of-brew beep is better on this new model and I think the warming plate is a few degrees cooler (good). This model looks easier to clean. Cleaning is simple and was done every 4 months or so on the old model. This new design might need cleaning every 6 months. Super reliable and simple coffee maker in a nice white design.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Shanons from This will be my second time replacing it! I bought this over a year ago and it stopped dripping , really inconvenient as we drink coffee every morning! It was replaced then after 10 months the new one stopped dripping also! I've been without a coffe maker since last Saturday (a week ago) good thing I bought the extra warranty at Walmart but they sure take long to get back and I'm not getting a new pot, they will refund my money but definitely will not buying this model anymore!! Btw my daughter let me have her coffee maker, guess what? It's the same exact one! Let's see how long this lasts!

Rated 1 out of 5 by no coffee equals bad from Dead after 1 year 23 days. Reservoir fill level was always a bit tough to read but it brewed coffee so much faster than my old one I didn't care. Of course the old one lasted 5 years and was working when I replaced it a year ago. Maybe I should have dealt with the small leak instead of buying this turkey.

Rated 2 out of 5 by KraZoCoFFeEaDdiCt from After two in 6 months, I bought a Farberware I bought my first Mr. Coffee® Advanced Brew 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker Black/Chrome, BVMC-SJX23-RB, because of its features and what I thought was reliability. I was mistaken. The first one we bought stopped working in 3 months. I returned it to my trusty Walmart and purchased another hoping it's problem wouldn't return with my next one. I was wrong. This morning, six weeks later, I went into my kitchen expecting coffee at 5:45 a.m. - the time I programmed it to prepare my coffee. Looking into the kitchen the familiar light pattern told me my first cup was moments away. Alas, it was not. At first I thought I had forgotten to add water - that's happened before - but no. There was water, there was coffee in the basket and all lights signified coffee awaited. Nope. Nada. Dry as a bone. The lights lied. There was no coffee. No aromatics wafting throughout my sleepy home. A quick text to my daughter who was expected shortly to BRING US TWO LARGE COFFEES helped, but what is the problem with Mr. Coffee lately? Get it together, Mr. Coffee or we won't be back. In the meantime, our new Farberware coffeemaker provided us the much needed morning comfort. Enough said.
