Rated 4 out of 5 by Berto21 from Little Machine that delivers I have been using the mr. coffee espresso machine for about a month and have been pleasantly surprised. First thing I love about the espresso machine is that it takes up very little room in your kitchen yet performs like a machine twice it size. Also, I love that the espresso maker is very easy to use and clean up is a breeze. The machine includes a milk steamer to make cappuccino easy to make. Overall this machine is a great value for its price. If want a machine that is easy to use and need basic options making espressos and cappuccino this your machine. This espresso maker is not for people wanting a machine with more nuts and bolts. Important Disclaimer I was given an espresso and cappuccino maker to test by the manufacturer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mkkp from Too time consuming I was somewhat dissatisfied with this espresso maker. The instructions seem a little complicated and I had to read them several times. The espresso takes way longer to brew than expected and came out looking watered down. I had only put in enough water up to the 2 and then water to the steam line, but it brews too much so the espresso is weaker. It's difficult to steam and milk went everywhere, even when the steamer was fully submerged. It did a decent job at lightly foaming it for an espresso, but not enough foam for a cappuccino. Overall, this machine takes too much time. It seemed perfect for a "quick" latte, but it takes too long to brew.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Brit12345 from Wouldn't recommend My boyfriend and I bought this machine 3 months ago. About a month ago, the espresso started smelling really funny when it was brewing. When we first got the machine, it worked great and only took a couple minutes. Now it takes forever because the espresso comes out one drop at a time. The steaming part of the machine doesn't move, which makes it somewhat difficult to use. You get what you pay for, and with this being the cheapest option out there, I can't complain too much.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PLynch from Good machine but causing trouble I am on my second Mr. Coffee Steam Espresso. The first lasted several years, used every day. The second one is about 1 year old and has worked fine until this week. Water is leaking out of the coffee ground holder at the end of the brewing cycle. The coffee ground holder actually moves, loosening up - to allow the water to leak. When attaching the coffee ground holder, you have to move the handle to the right quite a bit to get a 'lock'.... but to do that, the plastic locking mechanism is not square with the top of the coffee maker. I suspect the gasket that the coffee ground holder links into is bad- although I have tried to clean it with a soft cloth and water. Any suggestions or fixes for this?

Rated 4 out of 5 by daspiel from For the money it is a good machine... For the money the machine works as advertised and expected. The machine worked brewing the espresso, but the included spoon does not work well has a tamper. Highly recommend purchasing a good tamper to be used when compacting the coffee and invest in a small metal cup for when you steam the milk. I wish they were included in the box and would make it well worth the additional cost, but something to consider picking up if you purchase the machine. I received this as a gift to review and would recommend it as it functions as one would hope, but get the tamper and metal cup for steaming :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by That girl Tracy from Chips off bits in my coffee Bought this machine and absolutely loved it. Within a month the black sleeve on the steaming wand starting falling apart. No big deal, they're $2 and I ordered 5 more. However the replacements seem to be cheaper than the original and don't last 2 weeks. Every morning I have tiny bits of black plastic in my coffee. I clean the wand daily and remove the oring to prevent build up but it doesn't help and the sleeves are falling apart as fast as I can replace them. My coffee maker is less than a year old, still under warranty and I bought the extended warranty but the whole machine will find itself in the trash very soon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cuidado from Loving my third Mr. Coffee espresso machine I have just purchased my third Mr. Coffee Espresso maker but had to purchase it at a yard sale. I went to every store that sold small appliances and could not find one. I didn't give up. What I purchased may be an older model as the cover is the large one that I like. I do not like the smaller curved water receptacle as I have arthritic thumbs and found it difficult to maneuver. I give it four stars as each of the others I purchased new and they only lived avout six years. I would like them to last longer. Also, keep the larger deeply ridged knobs and covers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by stevek from The shape of the control & water knobs are useless I bought the ECM160 4 days ago and set it up to use last night. I noticed right away that the knobs were very unusual shape. When I went to use the machine this morning it became quite obvious that the shape of the knobs make this espresso machine totally useless. I can't even imagine any manufacturer doing this when there was no reason whatsoever to not make them round, hex shaped, knurled, or anything but the way they made them smooth, sloped, and convexed so you can't grab hold of them.
