Rated 1 out of 5 by Chessie from Mister NO COFFEE I brought the Mr. Coffee red & black, like others I really liked this product until one morning (couple days ago) I turned it on. The green light came on, but not the blue light, beeped 3 times - shut off, again, again, & again. I unplugged the cofee maker hoping to reset. At least the other person got 2 cups before it shut off. LOL Sad part, I recommended this coffe maker to my mom, she brought it on 06/11/2014. Sure hope her's last a lonnnnnnnnnnnnng time. :) Recommend - Not now , 4 stars when it worked, 1 now for my 4-5 months.

Rated 1 out of 5 by CindyF from Low quality, but good customer service My product failed within 3 weeks. (My review from 4/3/14 seems to have been ignored by the Mr. Coffee website.) On 4/4/14, customer service told me that I could return the coffee maker to Target, where I had purchased it. Target credited my card for the purchase without asking questions - and within 30 seconds. I'm pleased with the resolution of the problem, but I won't risk buying another Mr. Coffee.

Rated 3 out of 5 by dreygo66 from Doesn't brew a full pot I have owned this coffee maker for 7+ months, up until the last 5 it was worked like a champ and makes a good cup of cofffee, however within the other two months it began only brewing a half pot. I have cleaned the maker with recommended solution...the solution fills the pot completely, however when it comes to coffee, I have to cycling the brewing timer sometimes twice. My Cuisenart did the same thing but 10 years later. I like the thermal carafe and brew strength selector.

Rated 1 out of 5 by FLbookworm22 from 7 months and it's failed completely After reading some of the reviews here, I feel fortunate we got 7 months from our unit, but now it overflows every time we brew coffee, regardless of pot size. I suspect the spring allowing brewed coffee to flow into the carafe has failed in some manner, but still unacceptable that we began having issues at 4 months of ownership. Our old Mr Coffee held up for 7 year which is why we went with another from the same mfgr. Very disappointed- and tired of drinking grounds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Charlotte from Frustrated in love I absolutely loved my Red and Black Mr. Coffee programmable coffee maker and I haven't even had it but a few months then one morning, it did not brew. Oh goodness, in the past, I knew that the heating element made the coffee brew but in realizing, the lights were on but nothing was happening. I am very disappointed because people always say, "you get what you pay for" and I just didn't want that to be true since my Mr. Coffee was only around $40. I'm newly divorced and that would be my budget and now it seems it is not repairable so I will need to buy a new one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Amensej from Soaked counters Had one for 3 years before it started pouring water out of the bottom of the unit. Since we liked the old one, we bought a new one in red and black. Have had it 6 months and the new one pouring water out of the bottom again. I won't be purchasing a new one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joebe1 from Replaced Cuisinart I've been using my new coffee maker for a month. I got it as a replacement for my Cuisinart--which became a "Cuisinot." I really appreciate its ease of operation and quick brewing time. It's also good looking and compact. Another plus is the metal basket for the grounds. I no longer need to spend money on paper filters.

Rated 4 out of 5 by wmjb from Great Except Carafe Flaw The Coffeemaker has been a faithful machine, working flawlessly for a long time. The price was good, and it fiits well with my kitchen decor and counters.. The Mr. Coffee I had before was great for years. I did replace the caraf a couple times on the old machine, but that was my fault. When my old maker died, I retained the old carafe, just in case I repeated my old habit of breaking carafe(s). Well, I'm glad I retained the old carafe. The carafe that came with the new coffeemaker was flawed. The shape of the spout was such that the coffee would dribble back down the side of the carafe. It didn't matter if you poured slowly, quickly, or.in between. Well, instead of calling Mr. Coffee, I just pullled the old carafe back into service. The big chain store I purchased it from takes returns no-questions-asked, so they would have surely exchanged it, but I didn't bother... I suspect that the poor pourer function flaw was a bit of a fluke, and I would buy another one of these coffeemakers. Now, if I could remember how to re-program it, which is the reason I came to this website. LOL
