Rated 5 out of 5 by TimS from Best Simple Brewer Ever! I've went through many-of-many simple brew coffee pots, and I find this one to be of top quality and easy design. It makes both perfect coffee and TEA! Yes, we loose tea drinkers are still kicking out here, and prefer this simple brewer over all the others. There is a reason for that and it's mostly because of the switch basket. Whether it's coffee or tea, the switch basket allows you to completely saturate the first 5 ounces before putting the decanter on the hot plate. This gives full bold richness to both coffee and tea. After the basket drains into the pot and runs 2 cups worth, then steal a cup while it's still brewing. It's awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by KathyC from Perfect Perfectly Simple Coffeemaker I've been using the CG Series 12-Cup Mr. Coffee for years. I must admit to trying other brands and styles in the past, however, it was only to find that they were over-priced and useless after 6 months or less! I love the simplicity of this pot. It makes coffee simply and fast...and that's exactly what I want in the morning!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ilovecoffee from WASTE OF COFFEE I bought this 4 days ago. The hot water does not saturate the entire coffee basket, resulting in weak coffee and a partial basket of dry grounds. PLEASE do not waste your time OR money on this sub-standard product. They dropped the ball on this one. My old MR. COFFEE had a large round "sprinkle head" on it that allowed total saturation of the coffee basket. Not this one, it has a poorly designed spout. No more MR. COFFEE'S for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by popeyes from Mades good coffee I've had this maker for some time and never had any trouble with it. I have started to take an interest in other options for coffee like frappes and cappuccinos. Eventually I hope to have an upgrade to a specialty maker. Right now I use this machine to make strong coffee to use as espresso to make my drinks. Very reliable coffee maker. Price is great too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Maggie from to complicated Bought a 12 cup coffee maker CG Series yesterday. It is not as easy to use as my 15 year old one. Why oh why do you have to change a good thing? I can not open the top to pour water in unless I move it out to the edge of the counter, it doesn't fit under my upper cabinets. There is not much room to pour the water in the top with all the stuff taking up the room. The old style was much simpler in design and you had the whole reservoit open to receive water. Why make so many unnecessary changes?
