Rated 2 out of 5 by Coffeelover51 from Carafe lid Our carafe lid has a gasket. Over time, said gasket (a flat, glorified rubber band) wears out and stretches. Doesn't stay put and certainly doesn't serve its purpose anylonger. Now the search for a replacement gasket begins. Good luck! You will discover that you cannot find or buy just that little gasket. You will end up buying a replacement lid - while your perfectly good lid is only missing a gasket. So, if the new lid doesn't quite fit the carafe you have, you might just end up irate. Returning the lid you just bought is cost prohibitive. And, instead of annoying yourself more - mind you, this started because of a worn out gasket - you spike the entire coffee maker and buy a new one. Mr. Coffee:1, Customer:0

Rated 3 out of 5 by Coffee4me from Love the Coffee Maker NOT the Lid I have owned ONLY Mr Coffee Brewers over the years and was excited to get this coffee maker as a gift but, because of the stretched gasket, my countertop now enjoys the coffee. I would buy a new lid but they are not available. Although the coffee maker was phenomenal (when it worked) I'm sorry to say I won't spend the money for a new machine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by AngryCustomer from Really bad design Bought this for my mother because the lid that came with her coffee maker was leaking. The gasket had broken. Within days, this one broke also. It's a very thin gasket that gets twisted and damaged easily. They should have used an o-ring seal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mat42 from Fast & excellent coffee I ordered several months ago, love it. Had to order could not find metal carafe locally. Only problem is gasket on carafe lid has stretched out. Wish it were possible to order gaskets . I had this same problem with another brand of coffeemaker. I guess opening & closing plus heat has caused it to fail so it does not keep coffee hot as it did at first. When I clean carafe I leave the lid loose so there is no strain on gasket.

Rated 3 out of 5 by mysteryhawk from Fast delivery, leaks terribly Our Mr Coffee is well used. As the gasket on the lid was loose, we elected to purchase a new one. Found the only way was to buy the whole lid. Unfortunately, it is not the ideal lid. Coffee leaks and is found under the pot and all over the surrounding cabinet. We are going back to our original lid.

Rated 2 out of 5 by KLloyd from Mr Coffee Lid for Carafe Needs to be redesigned. I bought this coffeemaker because it has no burner yet the carafe keeps the coffee hot for hours however the lid to the carafe has a seal/gasket that is very thin an wears out very quickly. This item is not offered as a replacement part. This is an item that should be offered especially since this is a poor design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grkennedy from Smart intuitive design, excellent functionality We have owned this coffeemaker for two years. Prior to this purchase we owned two Cuisinart coffeemaker's that were more than twice the price of this coffee maker. This one beats any other coffee maker we have her own hands down. I came to the site today to look for a new gasket which is a common complaint among owners of this machine. I'm happy to see that they will sell you an entire replacement lid for $2. I'm going to buy a few of them because I believe this coffeemaker will last for a very long time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dan4857 from Same problem with my lid! We bought this coffee maker over a year ago and love it. Only issue has ben the lid gasket which just tore about 2 months ago. Just have to put it back by hand every day after cleaning. Same thing, says lid not available on line. I still rate the machine high because it does a wonderful job - particularly keeping the temp of the coffee hot.
