leaks after a while
My mother has had several Mr coffee ice tea makers the most recent 2 were the square ones & she gave me one of hers so she could get another one whenever I moved out and I've had it over a year not to mention the time she had it which has to be atleast over 2 years with no problems other than the occasional leak due to not having the pitcher not being pushed all the way back during the brew, that is until just recently when there was a puddle all over the counter. I tried it again after checking it & it did the same thing. Also the sugar that I add never gets dissolved, isn't it supposed to be dissolved when finished brewing?

On my 3rd tea maker. One good, Two worthless
I needed to replace my old tea maker, The old one was great and couldn't wait for a new one. I bought one of the box shape maker and it leaked all over the counter. I did not over fill. I went back to the directions and reread. I still had the same problem. My son got so mad at it he threw it away. After 6 month I bought a new one the 3qt and this leaks all over the counter. It is not tea. It is clear water that is coming from the bottom. Half the water that I put in, ends up on the counter, Once again it was not over filled. So how do I fix this problem?

Too hot to handle
This machine makes great tea. The one flaw is that the pouring spout cracks after repeated usage, because of the extremely hot water running through it onto the ice cubes. Also, because it's a two part/piece container. That is why the front has brown tea stains running down from where the spout slides into the opening on the machine. so, until they come up with a solution to make it fit better it will continue to leak. I'm on my third pitcher, because of the leaking slash cracking of the spout. I will be looking at the square version of the 3 qt.

I bought this today and I'm taking it back!
I brought this today and I'm taking it back. I agree with the other comments that it leaks. Once it has turned off and you pull the pitcher out the machine still leaks out.
I have had the model number TM35 for years and the only reason I bought this one is because my pitcher started leaking and I tried to get an new pitcher for it but they don't make them anymore. When I opened the box I could see right away that it was cheaply made.

I brought the tea maker to replace an older model that broke and i like a fresh pitcher of tea ever morning. And no matter what I do everytime I start a pitcher I end up with tea all over my counter. I'm very careful to make sure the pitcher is in place before I push the button to start it, but always end up with half a pitcher of tea and the other half all over the counter.

This machine does not allow the tea to steep, it just continuously drips. The machine has a hidden overflow hole in the back that you do not know about until you overfill it and find out on your own. Finally, the pitcher takes up too much room in the frig since it is now shorter and wider.

Does not work
On 1st use I noticed the pitcher does not fit snuggly to the brewer. My old Mr. Coffee brewer, Model # TM 50P, has a snug fit. It was getting old and I received an email ad regarding the newer model so I decided to purchase the newest model. On 1st use of the new tea brewer I noticed the pitcher did not fit snugly to the brewer and the tea was a bit weak compared to my older brewer - using the same recipe for strength (MAX) as always. On 2nd use the unit was DOA - that means it did not work at all - would not even turn on. Fortunately, I has saved my old tea brewer and have put it back to use. What a disappointing and aggravating experience this has been.

I love it!!
I did a lot of research before purchasing this machine. So many bad reviews across the manufacturers and products. Reading between the lines I went on the assumption that the majority did not follow the instructions.
I am approaching my first month and make a pitcher about every other day. Not one drop of tea has leaked out and everything has worked as described.
I started with the Mr Coffee recipe and only modified it once to obtain what I was looking for. Tea is my number one drink.
Read the instructions, follow them, and you should get along fine. I see no reason for a higher price product. I like this one.
