Care & Maintenance
Always unplug your Burr Mill after use and before cleaning. Wash the bean hopper and coffee chamber parts with warm soapy water. Note: Never use abrasive cleansers, steel wool pads or other abrasive materials. UNIT IS NOT DISHWASHER SAFE. CAUTION! Never immerse the Burr Mill itself in water, in any other liquid or place in the dishwasher. Dry all pieces thoroughly.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Loved it until the hopper broke The grinder worked great, but was useless once the bean hopper broke. Replacing just the hopper isn't an option. There use to be several reviews stating they had similar issues, but it appears a lot of them have been removed.... Conclusion: you can expect to buy a new grinder every 2 to 3 years depending on how much you use it...eventhough it technically still works.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Was a 5, till the hopper broke I loved this thing - used it daily sometimes more. I got my dad one, and his hopper broke almost immediately. I asked him the same question someone else asked “how much force did you use on the thing to break it?” Well now mines broken too and let me tell you - NOT MUCH FORCE AT ALL. I’m on the fence about getting the same one again. I read Mr. Coffees response to the other person saying it’s not something they hear about very often, but it seems to be a common complaint across several forums.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from ? This is our second grinder, now going on our third. The body of the grinder fills up with ground coffee and it comes out the bottom. This grinder has to be at least 5 years old. The first grinder’s shaft broke, it was also very old and very used. Why are the grounds going into the stainless steel bottom? I want to avoid this with our third one...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from After many years of reliable service the hopper bo Like many of others posting reviews here, the top portion of out hopper separated from the base plastic. The attachment points between the two pieces seems to consist of three short plastic protrusions from the hopper to shallow slots in the base, along with a thin ring. Not sure what type of epoxy or glue that is food safe and can bond the materials involved - if anyone has a recommendation, please post here. As a very temporary workaround, multiple rubber bands from the bottom of the hopper base to over the top of the hopper are able to keep the feeding portion of the hopper in place.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loved this grinder - but something is wrong I got this grinder in December 2018. We have used it almost daily since then and I have had no issues. However, lately coffee grounds have been splling out the BOTTOM of the grinder. Can the folks at Mr Coffee help?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great grinder for the price I love this grinder and it has served me well. Sadly it has died and I need to replace it, but it was a hell of a trooper, grinding my beans daily for 10 years straight. I came to this site to get a new one and after seeing all of these negative reviews I decided to leave a positive one. Always take negative reviews with a grain of salt since people who are happy with a product do not tend to seek out forums to complain about their products on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but after grind static... Does a good job of grinding... issue is when attempting to remove the ground coffee from the hopper. Static make it messy to pour the grounds out. Always having to tap it to get it to release from the hopper.
