Thank you for reaching out to Mr. Coffee®. We are sorry to hear that your coffee maker is not brewing. That is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help. If your coffee maker is not brewing, it might be because the unit is not getting enough power from the wall outlet where it is currently plugged in or the wall outlet itself is a non-working outlet. For a possible fix, we advise you to try resetting your coffeemaker by completely emptying the water reservoir and leaving the coffee maker unplugged for 5 minutes. You may also check the troubleshooting steps below: - Plug the unit into a different wall outlet to ensure that the unit is receiving enough power. Do not use it with any extension cords, power strips, and power converters or inverters as it may affect the coffee maker's performance. - Insert the filter basket correctly. - Place the decanter correctly. - Add the desired amount of coffee. - Also, try cleaning the coffee maker with a vinegar solution if it hasn't been cleaned recently. Your coffee maker has a 1-year limited warranty. If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact us directly or fill in the "Contact us" link provided below. We hope this helps. Thank you for reaching out to Mr. Coffee®. We are sorry to hear that your coffee maker takes 20-25 minutes to perk 6 cups of water into 4 cups of coffee. That is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help. A coffeemaker will experience slow brewing if not properly cleaned. It is recommended to clean the coffeemaker after 40 brews for hard water use and 80 brews for soft water use. To decalcify your Mr. Coffee® SC12 Series Coffeemaker, please follow the instructions below: Minerals (calcium/limestone) found in water will leave deposits in your coffeemaker and affect its performance. It’s recommended that you regularly remove these deposits using vinegar. 1. Remove the water filtration system from the coffeemaker. 2. Prepare 4 cups or 20 fl. oz. / 592ml of undiluted, white household vinegar. Pour the vinegar into the water reservoir. 3. Place an empty 10-12 cup basket-style paper filter or Mr. Coffee® reusable filter into the brew basket and close the coffeemaker’s lid. 4. Place the empty carafe back in the unit, centered on the warming plate. 5. Brew prepared cleaning solution through the coffeemaker. 6. Discard the cleaning solution and rinse the carafe thoroughly with clean water. 7. Fill the water reservoir with 12 cups of clean, fresh water. 8. Place the empty carafe back on the coffeemaker, centered on the warming plate. 9. Remove and discard the paper filter used during the cleaning cycle. If a Mr. Coffee® reusable filter was used during cleaning, remove it and rinse it thoroughly before replacing it in the brew basket. 10. Turn the switch to ON and allow the full brew cycle to complete, rinsing the coffeemaker with hot water. 11. Discard the water and rinse the carafe thoroughly with clean water. 12. Repeat steps 8 through 11 one more time, to ensure it is fully rinsed. Your coffeemaker is now clean and ready to brew the next pot of delicious, hot coffee! Your Mr. Coffee® 12-Cup Coffeemaker has a 1-year limited warranty. If this doesn't resolve your issue, we'd kindly request that you contact us directly so we can determine the best resolution. Have a good day!
