Thank you for reaching out to Mr. Coffee®. We value your continued support of our product and we are glad to assist you with your inquiry. To set the brew later feature, follow the steps below: To Set the Clock: 1. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The clock will flash on the control panel to indicate that the time has not been set yet. 2. Press and hold the HOUR and MINUTE buttons until you reach the current time. The AM or PM indicator is at the left of the display. The clock is now set! NOTE: Pressing any button before setting the clock will cause the clock to start keeping time from 12:00 a.m. You must set the clock if you want to use the Delay Brew feature. 1. Prepare your coffeemaker as described in the “Adding Water and Ground Coffee” section of the user manual. 2. To activate Delay Brew and program your coffeemaker to brew coffee at a later time, press the select/off button twice. The yellow Delay Brew light will turn on. The coffeemaker is now set to automatically brew coffee at the pre-set later time. At this time the brew strength light will turn on. You can select the strength that you desire by pressing the brew strength button. 3. At the pre-set time, the green brew now light will turn on and the Delay Brew yellow light will turn off, indicating the brewing has started in the selected brew strength. The Fresh Brew™ Timer feature will start. 4. The coffeemaker warmer plate will keep your coffee hot for 2 hours and then automatically turn off. Thermal models will turn off at the end of the brew cycle. NOTE: Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during brewing cycles. As a safety feature, your coffeemaker will not start again automatically the next day. If you want your coffee to brew at the same time the following day, simply add a new filter, coffee, and water and set Delay Brew, by repeating Steps 2 and 3 above. To cancel Delay Brew: Press the select/off button until all lights turn off. We hope this helps. Have a good day!

At least once a week, the basket simply overfills with water/coffee - with water and grinds getting all over, and I have to start over and clean up. I do make sure the pot and basket are in place and "appear" aligned. Such a pain!!!!

Yes, after the first, and especially after the 2nd and 3rd times I had to clean up coffee and grinds all over my counter and inside the carafe, and inside the maker itself (so much fun when you're craving coffee to drink), I always take time to make sure things are lined up. I actually said that in my original post.

Thank you for reaching out to Mr. Coffee®. We are sorry to hear that your coffee maker is overflowing. That is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help. For a possible fix, please check if the filter basket is inserted correctly and the carafe is properly placed on the warming plate. Thank you for reaching out to Mr. Coffee®. We are sorry to hear that your coffee maker is not brewing or won't make a coffee. That is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help. If your coffee maker is not brewing, it might be because the unit is not getting enough power from the wall outlet where it is currently plugged in or the wall outlet itself is a non-working outlet. For a possible fix, we advise you to try resetting your coffeemaker by completely emptying the water reservoir and leaving the coffee maker unplugged for 5 minutes. You may also check the troubleshooting steps below: - Plug the unit into a different wall outlet to ensure that the unit is receiving enough power. Do not use it with any extension cords, power strips, and power converters or inverters as it may affect the coffee maker's performance. - Insert the filter basket correctly. - Place the decanter correctly. - Add the desired amount of coffee. - Also, try cleaning the coffee maker with a vinegar solution if it hasn't been cleaned recently.
