I read that I can soak it in hot water, and vinegar for 20 minutes, and I read in the questions that someone had to cut it open, but after that they had to buy a new carafe lid. The carafe lid is not meant to be disassembled to be cleaned; is it? :/

CLEANING AND MAINTAINING YOUR COFFEEMAKER Daily Cleaning &bull;Always unplug the coffee maker and allow to cool before cleaning. &bull;Remove and wash the filter basket, permanent filter (not included on all models), decanter and decanter lid in a solution of hot water and mild liquid soap. &bull;Never use abrasive cleansers, steel wool pads or other abrasive materials. CAUTION! Never immerse the coffeemaker itself in water, in any other liquid or place in the dishwasher. Hope it helps. Have a great day!

Please be advised that we do not have a 12-cup size for our coffee makers with thermal carafe. It only came with 10-cups only. Hope this would help. Have a nice day!

That is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help. Our coffee maker coffee temperature spec is between 170 -195 degrees Fahrenheit in the carafe right after brew. If your coffee is not hot enough, check if there is no physical damage on its cord and if there's none, try unplugging the coffee brewer and let it rest for 3-5 minutes. Plug the unit into a different wall outlet and see if it will work properly. Do not use it with any extension cords, power strips, and power converters or inverters as it may affect the coffee maker's performance. You may also check the basic troubleshooting steps below. 1. If your unit has a thermal carafe, make sure that it is clean and that the lid is kept closed. 2. The thermal carafe should keep coffee warm for 2 to 4 hours after brewing. 3. Try preheating the thermal carafe by rinsing carafe out with hot tap water before brewing, especially in the winter months if you live somewhere cold. Also, if the cleaning light continues to blink after cleaning the coffee brewer, try unplugging the unit for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.
