Care & Maintenance
Make sure your coffeemaker is unplugged and has cooled completely before cleaning. Remove the brew basket, filter carafe, carafe lid, and wash them in a solution of hot water and mild liquid soap, and dry thoroughly.

Fill the reservoir with 6 cups of&#13;&#10;undiluted, white household vinegar*&#13;&#10;2. Remove the optional water filtration&#13;&#10;disk. Place an empty paper filter or&#13;&#10;permanent filter in the brew basket.&#13;&#10;3. Place the empty decanter back in the&#13;&#10;unit.&#13;&#10;4. Press the CLEAN button to activate&#13;&#10;The Cleaning Function (Figure 9).&#13;&#10;a. When activated, the cleaning light will pulse and&#13;&#10;The Brew Now/Off button will remain illuminated&#13;&#10;b. A counter will be displayed on the LCD screen.&#13;&#10;The counter will begin at 45 minutes and will&#13;&#10;countdown until it reaches zero indicating the&#13;&#10;cleaning cycle is complete.&#13;&#10;NOTE: The entire cycle will take 45 minutes to complete.&#13;&#10;5. During the cleaning cycle your coffeemaker will:&#13;&#10;a. Slow brew approx. 3 cups of cleaning solution.&#13;&#10;b. Pause for 30 minutes (the CLEAN light will pulse&#13;&#10;to alert you that the process is active).&#13;&#10;c. After 30 minutes, your coffeemaker will brew&#13;&#10;the remainder of the cleaning solution.&#13;&#10;6. For a possible fix, please check the hose in the reservoir, make sure it is snug on connection. Also, check the filter basket for any drips down the back of the basket onto the trip arm and warming plate. Ensure to use medium grounds and make sure that the water is not exceeding the max line in the water reservoir.
