Care & Maintenance
Make sure your coffeemaker is unplugged and has cooled completely before cleaning. Remove the brew basket, filter carafe, carafe lid, and wash them in a solution of hot water and mild liquid soap, and dry thoroughly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Programmable issues I just purchased this week, I chose Mr. Coffee programmable because of my confidence in the product/company. I am not very happy with this model! I set the programmable feature every day, but it never turns on at the time set. I push the button to set, it starts flashing, I set the time, then nothing happens in the morning. It does not have an indicator to show if it has accepted or set the program, so the assumption is that it is set. I have even tried unplugging and resetting, still nothing. Looked for the instruction manual online, nothing for BVMC-PC12BL2-NP, because the one in the box was not very helpful. Not very happy!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could not get brew later to work. information manual that come with the coffee maker. doesn't tell you how to use the brew later mode. after searching for two days I finally found how the brew later mode worked in the frequently asked questions. You have to set up the brew later by, 1. Press brew later button 2. set time to brew 3. Press brew later button again Now you should have a light on the brew later button. After you set the time up for brew later. You should not need to reset the time unless you want to change the time to brew. you will have to press the brew later button twice if not change time. Should have a solid light if brew later is set. Need to add this to your information manual with the coffee maker.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design I have always bought Mr.Coffee coffee makers and have always been satisfied with them. I just bought this one, it works fine but the design really sucks. 1st, the fill lid opens from the side, right to left. Big inconvenience for me, I’m left handed. 2nd, when the lid is open it is between my sink and the coffee maker, I don’t have the counter space to put it anywhere else. If I would have noticed this before I bought it, I would have left it on the shelf. 3rd, the viewing window isn’t that easy to read. Whoever designed this isn’t very good at designing. As soon as I find one that works for me, I’ll throw this pile in the garbage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Used once and the inner basket broke! Junk. So I bought this coffee maker the other day because my old one was too small and I needed a 12 cup. I used it once and the plastic piece in the inner basket broke off and the spring went flying. Not sure if there was another piece but it will not fit back in the hole with the spring without another plastic piece to hold it on so I'm guessing that is gone now I have searched my kitchen and I cannot find it. So I guess I have to go find a replacement basket somewhere or buy another machine which will not be by Mr. Coffee

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Was nice while it lasted I bought this coffee pot in August of 2020. I loved it. It worked great. It had easy-to-use, convenient features. It is now December 2020 and the machine has stopped working. When I hit "brew now", it beeps and displays the word "fresh" as if it thinks it's finished the Brew cycle even though it hasn't even started the Brew cycle. I thought, "maybe I'll clean it." So I filled the reservoir with vinegar to the 4 cup line and hit "clean. And what do you know? It beeped immediately as if the cleaning cycle was finished....even though it hadn't even started. I only bought this because the old machine I had was from like 2013 and my mother-in-law dropped my carafe and broke it. That machine cost me half the price or less and lasted me YEARS. This one lasted me 4 months and was more than $40 with tax.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from How Pm works So when your going through the hours on the pot you will see a small dot appear next to the pm sign, this indicates if it is pm or am. Its just sad they couldnt include this on the instructions, also if your having trouble with brew later, click the button set time(blinking light) and then double tap it, the brew later button should then stay on should stay on. Hope this helps ppl!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Product Support...Not Worth the Effort I bought this model earlier today, paying $43.00 for it (Including sales tax). Together with quality, I expected product backup use from the Mr. Coffee brand. But guys...Are you serious? No printed instructions in the carton? Okay...No problem. I scanned the QR code and among scores of coffee makers at the website, this one does not appear. A search for it by the model number brought me to this site, where the ratings are mostly negative. Apparently, it's discontinued or simply no longer supported by Mr. Coffee. Fortunately, the retailer from whom I bought it took it back for a full refund. I'm disappointed in Mr. Coffee

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Delay Brew doesn't work I bought this coffee maker one week ago. We're still trying to get the Delay Brew feature to work. We tried what others have suggested.... push the button twice to set it. etc. I called the 800 number - that was a joke. Please don't give me the "I'm sorry you had a bad experience....we strive for excellent customer satisfaction.... please call us yada yada . You know it's a problem - TELL US HOW TO MAKE THE THING WORK! At this point, never again will I buy I Mr. Coffee or Sunbeam products. Too many alternatives.
