Make sure your coffeemaker is unplugged and has cooled completely before cleaning. Remove the brew basket, filter carafe, carafe lid, and wash them in a solution of hot water and mild liquid soap, and dry thoroughly.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product I bought this coffee maker less than 2 months ago and am getting an error code which will not go away. I called your customer service line and they told me that I need to send the coffee maker somewhere in Missouri and they will process my complaint and get back to me. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Come on Mr. Coffee - you know that coffee drinkers have coffee every day and now I have to wait 2 weeks if I'm lucky to get a replacement? I was told I could take it back to Target where I bought it but I no longer have the receipt, so they weren't sure what the process would be. Again, not good enough. If this model is defective and it would appear that it is from all the reviews I have read - then please take it off the market and rework it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice coffee maker but not reliable. I bought one of these coffee makers last year. And I loved it. It brews quickly. The measuring system is nice. Everything worked great till one morning, I turned the coffeemaker on and it immediately beeped that it had finished brewing despite not brewing anything. I googled and troubleshooted and eventually decided that I had probably gotten a clog in one of the lines. I didn’t have the correct tool to opened it up so I just decided to go buy another. I bought the same coffeemaker bc I liked it so much and I figured this was just a fluke. But here we are about 6 months later and it’s died again. Yesterday, I made coffee. An hour later, I noticed a weird smell in the kitchen but couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. This morning, I turned my coffee maker on and walked away. After a while, I realized I hadn’t heard the beep and went to see what was up. The power was on, but the warmer was cold and no coffee had brewed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Trash. heating pad didn't warm. I left it unplugged for awhile and tried again, and was pleased it seemed fine. Fast forward a month and a half, I came home from work and the clock numbers were flashing furiously and the hour of freshness lights were blinking one after the other over and over again. And mine has the auto turn off feature, so even if I had accidentally left it on (Which I 100% know I didn't), it should have turned off anyway. Also, it kept auto selecting Brew Later so it would rapidly beep almost constantly. It took several tries for the Brew button to work too. I unplugged it after a thorough clean, and Ec1 popped up. I will never buy this awful brand again. It's garbage at the price I paid for it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great while it lasted. I purchased this coffee maker less than one year ago from Kohl's. I am not a big coffee drinker, so this was only used a few times a month. Last week it completely stopped working. As soon as I turned it on, it just beeped, as if it was done brewing. Seems like this is a common problem. I really liked the look and features of this coffee maker, but for what I paid and how little it was used, it should not have stopped working so soon. Very disappointed. I am going to contact customer service via email to see how they will remedy this problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Liked the look and programmable I bought this to replace a Black and Decker I had had quite a few years and thought it was great. Like the features on it. It worked find for a couple of months then one day just stopped brewing! I put coffee and water in and hit Brew Now button and nothing happened. Turned it off, unplugged it, waited, tried again. Would not brew. So unplugged, stuck in box and started using old small Black and Decker one I had. At least that worked! Then one day I was going to call about the Mr. Coffee one, took it out of box, decided to plug up and try it, it worked! But a week or so later it has done the same thing as the first time. WON'T BREW!! What is the matter with this product? Would certainly appreciate some help! Some years ago bought an iced tea maker by Mr. Coffee and it has been great. Never had any problems with.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible quality I bought this machine at Costco about 6 months ago, and it worked fine until one day, when it stopped brewing and all the water just leaked outside straight into the counter. I cared for the machine pretty well, cleaning it often and despite that didn't last over 6 months.
