For a possible fix, please check if the filter basket is inserted correctly and the carafe is properly placed on the warming plate. Also, try using a standard coffee grounds and avoid overfilling the coffee basket. Lastly, make sure not to remove the carafe from the warming plate for more than 30 seconds while brewing. Your Mr. Coffee&reg;12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker has a year limited warranty. Thank you for contacting the MrCoffee&reg; brand. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to your inquiry about the Mr. Coffee&reg;12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker with Rapid Brew System. Please see the information below. SETTING THE CLOCK 1. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The clock will flash on the control panel to indicate that the time has not been set yet. 2. Press and hold the HOUR and MINUTE buttons until you reach the current time. The AM or PM indicator will light at the bottom of the display (Figures 1 and 2). The clock is now set! NOTE: Pressing any button before setting the clock will cause the clock to start keeping time from 12:00 a.m. You must set the clock if you want to use the Brew Later feature. Ever since I received this coffee maker, the spout and spring are constantly coming off of the basket. &nbsp;I was under the impression that the drip stopped while the carafe was off of the burner to poor a cup of coffee. &nbsp;I am not currently happy.

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and we are sorry to hear that your Mr. Coffee&reg;12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker with Rapid Brew System that leaks. It's not the experience that we want you to have. If you are using too fine grind or too much coffee will cause a build-up of water that overflows into the gap between the paper filter and the filter basket. This causes a real lot of ground coffee to bypass. Also, we suggest you not overfill the brew basket with coffee grounds. Your coffee maker has a 1 year limited warranty. To set the brew later feature, please follow the steps below. - Please set the current time first. - While the display is in the clock mode, simply press the SET DELAY button and, while the DELAY BREW time is flashing, set the brew time by pressing the HOUR and MINUTE buttons. The AM or PM indicator will light at the bottom of the clock display. Within a few seconds the display will change to the current time. - The Delay Brew Time is now set. Hope this helps.
