Rated 4 out of 5 by from Little Machine that delivers I have been using the mr. coffee espresso machine for about a month and have been pleasantly surprised. First thing I love about the espresso machine is that it takes up very little room in your kitchen yet performs like a machine twice it size. Also, I love that the espresso maker is very easy to use and clean up is a breeze. The machine includes a milk steamer to make cappuccino easy to make. Overall this machine is a great value for its price. If want a machine that is easy to use and need basic options making espressos and cappuccino this your machine. This espresso maker is not for people wanting a machine with more nuts and bolts. Important Disclaimer I was given an espresso and cappuccino maker to test by the manufacturer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing The Mr. Coffee espresso machine with steam wand was disappointing. It is very light and feels cheap. The steam wand placement is difficult to use any type of larger mug or steam pitcher as it is low. You cannot simultaneously pull espresso shots and steam milk. Turning off the steamer is difficult as you can't let go of your steamed cup and need to reach over machine to turn a dial which does not move easily and the whole unit then tips over because it is so light. The espresso pulls very long shots and have no crema; more like watered-down espresso. I received this item to sample and was excited to try it but quickly realized it was not going to deliver decent espresso beverages.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good machine but causing trouble I am on my second Mr. Coffee Steam Espresso. The first lasted several years, used every day. The second one is about 1 year old and has worked fine until this week. Water is leaking out of the coffee ground holder at the end of the brewing cycle. The coffee ground holder actually moves, loosening up - to allow the water to leak. When attaching the coffee ground holder, you have to move the handle to the right quite a bit to get a 'lock'.... but to do that, the plastic locking mechanism is not square with the top of the coffee maker. I suspect the gasket that the coffee ground holder links into is bad- although I have tried to clean it with a soft cloth and water. Any suggestions or fixes for this?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too time consuming I was somewhat dissatisfied with this espresso maker. The instructions seem a little complicated and I had to read them several times. The espresso takes way longer to brew than expected and came out looking watered down. I had only put in enough water up to the 2 and then water to the steam line, but it brews too much so the espresso is weaker. It's difficult to steam and milk went everywhere, even when the steamer was fully submerged. It did a decent job at lightly foaming it for an espresso, but not enough foam for a cappuccino. Overall, this machine takes too much time. It seemed perfect for a "quick" latte, but it takes too long to brew.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap plastic ruins great product Yes, our decanter's handle broke within 4 months of use. We actually use it every other day, and it felt like the handle was loose right when we opened it... but I thought that was just my husband worrying unnecessarily. Turns out, the black plastic nut holding the metal screw (in the handle) that in turn held the metal band around the glass decanter was made of a cheap, very brittle plastic. The rest of the machine is well made... but this is a very important part. A little redesigning would make the quality of this product much better. Also, I find it offensive that you ask for the gender of a person making a comment, and that you only offer two genders.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wouldn't recommend My boyfriend and I bought this machine 3 months ago. About a month ago, the espresso started smelling really funny when it was brewing. When we first got the machine, it worked great and only took a couple minutes. Now it takes forever because the espresso comes out one drop at a time. The steaming part of the machine doesn't move, which makes it somewhat difficult to use. You get what you pay for, and with this being the cheapest option out there, I can't complain too much.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cheap Plastic A gift, this machine has generally been a very good item. However, a few months into use, the handle on the decanter broke off from the plastic holding the screw in place. I tried to repair it, but that's not possible. Recently (roughly two years into use), the handle of the coffee basket has chipped off. It is still connected but I have to hold the basket itself to attach and unattach. If I am making multiple lattes, this is a bad idea--hot metal. The plastic is cheap and worthless. However, on a good note, I've had a couple of years of daily lattes which saves a lot of money going to a retail coffee shop!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Super disappointed Purchased a little workhorse Brentwood (no-name) machine on Amazon a year ago thinking it would last 6 months. I've put one Latte per day through that machine for over a year...it finally kicked the bucket so I thought I would splurge, spend a little more and upgrade to a BRAND NAME Mr. Coffee cappuccino/latte maker. Flimsy, poorly designed and INFERIOR to my old no-name... Steamer/Frothing Arm is too short to actually be functional and that's the whole point to a cappuccino/latte maker. Steamer Arm set up is also tough to clean. Steam is inconsistent and either whispers steam or blows milk everywhere with little in-between...Super aggravated that I wasted money on this machine.
