Thank you for reaching out to Mr. Coffee®. We are sorry to hear that the milk is coming out cold. That is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help. The possible reason for this issue is that the espresso maker might be having a build-up of mineral deposits, which will affect the operation of the appliance. For a possible fix, we advise you to try the following: To Delime Water Reservoir: 1. Fill the reservoir with fresh, undiluted white household vinegar. 2. Allow the appliance to sit overnight with the vinegar solution in the water reservoir. 3. Discard vinegar by removing the reservoir and turning it upside down over the sink. 4. Rinse the water reservoir thoroughly with tap water by filling the tank half full with water and then pouring the water back out into the sink, repeating this step twice. To Delime Internal Parts: 1. Make sure you delime the inside of the water reservoir first by following the Deliming steps above. 2. Make sure to switch the on/off button to the off position and the power cord is disconnected from the electrical outlet. Fill the reservoir with undiluted white household vinegar. 3. Insert the porta-filter (with filter and no coffee) and place a large empty cup on top of the drip tray and under the porta-filter. 4. Plug the power cord into the electrical outlet. 5. Press the on/off button to switch the unit on, once the 2 control panel lights (Espresso heater and Steam heater) turn solid press the Automatic Espresso Button twice. The vinegar will start flowing through the unit and it will stop automatically. 6. Place a large empty cup (with at least 325 mL/ 11 fl. oz. capacity) under the frothed milk dispensing tube. Fill the milk reservoir with water and place it back on the unit. Turn the Froth Control Knob counterclockwise to the clean position then press the Clean button to activate the clean function. Let the cleaning cycle run until you no longer see any milk coming out of the tube, or let the cycle run until it stops automatically. 7. Repeat Steps 1 – 6 as necessary using only tap water to rinse any remaining traces of vinegar out of the machine. Your Mr. Coffee® Cafe Barista has a 1-year limited warranty. Thank you for reaching out to Mr. Coffee®. We are sorry to hear that your espresso maker is not frothing properly. That is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help. You may check the troubleshooting steps below. An espresso maker may not produce steam for frothing milk for the following reasons: 1. The frothing tube isn't clean. Wipe with a damp cloth immediately after each use so the milk does not dry and clog the frothing tube. 2. The frothing tube is clogged. Remove the black frothing aid from the frothing tube. Clean the frothing tube by filling a frothing pitcher halfway with water, and run the steaming feature for twenty seconds. Insert a toothpick or paper clip into the hold of the frothing tube to clear any clogs. Fill pitcher with clean water and froth for an additional 30 seconds. 3. Check the water levels. Not enough water in the reservoir may cause the machine not to produce steam when frothing If the frothing tube is producing steam, but the milk is not frothing, try the following: 1. Always use fresh, cold milk. 1% or skim milk is best. 2. Use a stainless steel frothing pitcher. Try using a frothing pitcher and make sure the pitcher is cool before using. 3. Move the frothing pitcher slightly up and down while frothing. Your espresso maker has a 1-year limited warranty.
