I just got this and brewed with just water to clean it out. Now nothing is happening at all. I filled it with grounds and followed the instructions perfectly, and now when I turn the knob to brew, the light doesn&rsquo;t come on and nothing happens.

As the espresso maker is not working, we recommend you to try the following steps: -Verify there is no physical damage to the cord of the coffee maker -Try a different appliance (such as a small lamp) in the outlet to ensure the outlet is functional. -Try to unplug then plug in the coffee maker into a different outlet to see if it works in a different outlet. -Then try to froth a milk by pour in your desired amount of cold milk into a the frothing pitcher, but allow enough room for expansion of the foam (typically 1/3 or 1/2 of the top). - Turn the knob to &ldquo;Steam.&rdquo; This will take a few seconds to heat up before bubbling. You should hear the steam coming out. If it is silent, it may mean you are out of water and no steam is coming out. If this happens, remove the frothing pitcher from the frothing wand. When you hear steam coming out, move the ceramic mug in a circular motion until desired amount of froth is reached

Make sure first that you plug in the Mr. Coffee&reg; Caf&eacute; 20-Ounce Steam Automatic Espresso and Cappuccino Machine directly to the plug and not on extension cord. This espresso maker doesn't have a light when steaming and brewing and the only light that you can see is on the on/off indicator to identify if the espresso machine is on.
