Rated 5 out of 5 by Gustav from Needed a small part for this excellent product We were very happy with our purchase of a Mr. Coffee coffee maker but had not realized that we had knocked a part off of the basket bottom until after we had apparently emptied the trash. We suffered for a while without pause and serve and to our surprise when we did finally get around to looking on the website we were able to get a new basket for a small amount and free shipping because it was Christmas. We had a similar but opposite experience with a different company regarding a humidifier recently and so we are very appreciative of the Mr. Coffee maker and their company willingness to offer some replacement parts if needed as well!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Ernie1 from Brew Basket We bought this coffee maker about six weeks ago. The plunger in the basket that allows you to get a cup while still brewing is poorly made and comes apart very easily. The washer-like retainer comes loose and is hard to find sometimes. Now it is lost for good and the company doesn't allow you to order the part online, let alone tell you where you can get a replacement. We only brew a half pot at a time about three times a week, so you can see that it doesn't hold up to 18 half pots. You can't brew a pot of coffee without the retainer in place - unless you want to lick it up on the counter!

Rated 3 out of 5 by captdoug from Why did this break? This is a pretty good coffee pot. We have had it for a year or so? Works well. The drain pin in the bottom of this basket disappeared. The basket was cheap and easy to replace, but leaves me with the question of why did the pin break (and where did it go?) In cleaning up after the pin's disappearance I found there are a lot of small nooks and crannies in the slot the basket resides in that fill with grounds that, on occasion, overflow the filter if it folds up in the basket. There are also a number of rings around the pin that catch grounds and should be cleaned. In a long history of coffee pots this one is better than most but still leaves a lot to be desired.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bobbio from Poor Brew basket For what I paid for this coffee maker, you'd think it would hold up better under everyday use. NOPE!! The brew basket is a poorly made piece of garbage. Not only does it warp, but the plunger falls apart. Now, for a 2 cent rubber washer, I have to buy a new whole basket assembly. By the way, this is the second coffee maker. The first one wouldn't hold the time and brew cycle. They did send a replacement maker 6 months ago, and now this one is falling apart. I'm definitely buying a different brand next time. Mr. Coffee, your products are going down the tubes at an extreme rate.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Elmo from Really bad idea to have ordered this The basket on our rather expensive Mr. Coffee coffeemaker had to be replaced. The problem was that a tiny metal clip holding in a spring-and-plunger device on the brew basket had fallen out. I ordered it on-line, and, fool that I am, paid about $25 for "two day delivery." I ordered it on a Friday, and the basket arrived on the following Thursday. So much for "two days." No compensation was forthcoming. We used the basket for about two weeks, and then that little metal clip fell out again. Look as we might, we couldn't find the clip. So, disgusted with the "two-day" delivery and the poor quality replacement item which we had received, we took the Mr. Coffee coffeemaker and put it in the trash can. Went out and bought a Hamilton Beach coffeemaker. It works as well, if not better, than the more expensive Mr. Coffee maker which we had trashed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tampa coffee hound from Great coffee maker, lousy brew basket This is my second coffee maker of this style. I love the metal carafe that keeps my coffee warm. What I don't like is the little springy thing in the brew basket that pops out with the slightest provocation. I also don't like that Mr. Coffee doesn't let you order it online. I found ONE place that supposedly stocks the basket - and I NEED my coffee so I just spent almost triple what this is priced at (but unavailable) on this site. I won't do that again - next time it breaks, I'll find another brand with better made parts.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Poppy from Brew basket drain stopper is junk The spring loaded flow stop feature of this PSTX brew basket falls apart. The o-ring and stopper fly apart when the bakset is removed. Both are difficult to see and thus difficult to find after they fly apart. After found they are very difficult to re-assemble and will fly apart again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Florida Coffee Lover from Great Coffee / Cheap Basket Stopper This model makes fabulous coffee and fairly quickly.....only problem is that the spring loaded stopper on the bottom of the grounds basket keeps coming off. Now, I can't find all the parts and can't make coffee without a big mess. They need to correct this problem and I'll give this coffee maker a 5 star.
