Rated 1 out of 5 by very dissatified from poorly constructed I bought this carafe to replace the one that came with the coffeemaker. The construction of the carafe was flawed. The black plastic piece that handle is affixed to and covers top of glass carafe is not tight around the lip of glass. Thus coffee leaks all over when trying to pour. And coffee gets caught in the plastic piece when pouring such that when done pouring and the carafe is set upright, coffee drains out of the space in the plastic piece and spills all over. There should definitely be better quality control measures in place so that such a poorly constructed product is not allowed to be sold to a customer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dissatisfied in SC from Design flaw I bought a new coffee maker the other month (model #BVMC-TJX36) and it included this carafe. I agree with some of the comments below in that the carafe is impossible to clean by anybody with regular size hands. I tried cleaning mine one day and my hand got bruised from trying to get it back out because it was stuck. Also, there is a design flaw as water gets trapped inside the carafe no matter what you do. So after you wash it out, empty out what you think is all the water, and turn the carafe right side up to place back in, surprise, water spills all over your counter or the floor because it was trapped in the carafe. Any coffee makers with this carafe model should be pulled from the shelves.

Rated 2 out of 5 by JLNYC from Great coffee - Obvious design flaw I bought this coffee maker despite the many reviews I saw regarding the design flaw of the carafe thinking "Mr Coffee does 1 thing... they can't get this wrong!". I was indeed wrong. There really is a design flaw on this carafe. I'll say the coffee maker does it's job very well and brews a good pot of coffee. The issue arises when you try to get said coffee out of the pot. I did not see any leaks for about 5 months but was disappointed that I couldn't get my last drips of coffee out, and thought - Meh, that's dumb but not a deal breaker... until i started seeing coffee on my counter top, on my floor, on my feet!. Really bad design Mr Coffee... really?!?!

Rated 1 out of 5 by FPLSR from Horrible!!! Bought 2 Mr. Coffees a year ago for main house and vacation house. From the onset both caraffes dribbled when pouring. Me and hubby thought we we're just getting older and careless. Solution was to just pour over the sink. Hubby finally had enough, investigated thoroughly and discovered that the seal between the plastic and glass on both pots was defective. Called Mr. Coffee and they told me how to document and file a claim. Mind you I told them both were slightly over a year old, but I said defective from onset. Filed claim & DENIED. This will be the last time ever I buy this inferior product and have told anyone that will listen what happened. TERRIBLE customer service and product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by GOKINGSGO from No one ever thinks. I bought this Mr Coffee machine because i like my old Mr Coffee machine. This is a different model and i don't care for it. The opening of the coffee pot is to small to put my hand in it to clean the pot. It is very difficult to pour the last 1/2 cup of water in the machine without spilling some water and there is always some amount of water left in the pot because the way the top plastic rim is designed or not designed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Customer regular from Not the best product by Mr. Coffee My husband got this coffeemaker (bvmc-tjx37) for my birthday and I used it daily. Washing is very difficult as mentioned by many already, if you accidentally pur more water into it than you intended, you can’t pour it out. You need vinegar to wash it using its cleansing cucle, you can’t wash the maker daily, the pot is not user-friendly, and a few days ago it broke from a simple fall from my hand into the sink. I cannot find the replacement pot anywhere that’s the exact one I have even though the entire maker was bought in target. I am trying to buy it online and still not finding the 37. Whatever I am finding does not fit the maker or does not work well and they are already expensive.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Krut from 3rd Replacment with this one I bought the Mr. Coffee machine over a year ago and am already having to replace the carafe for the third time due to it leaking under the black plastic top that meets the glass. The first one leaked after 1-2 months, the 2nd one has last more than a year and is leaking now, so I have to either get a replacement or switch coffee maker brands altogether. I would not recommend this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by AbbyV from Not good-drips/pours down side every time I pour The coffee make is great, but the carafe (coffee pot) is really not good. The lid catches excess coffee or water and pour down the side of the pot every time you pour it. It makes it really messy to clean up. Not the best design for the lid of the coffee pot...Was not happy with it, and will need to order a different coffee maker because no other pots will fit this maker...huge bummer.
