Rated 5 out of 5 by Cat Lady from Excellent Filter I bought a filter from the store & the coffee wasn't that good, the filter didn't fill the basket & the bottom of the pot was full of grounds!!! This filter is great. I strongly recommend it. It fills the basket, I haven't gotten any grounds at the bottom of the pot & the coffee tastes great. It actually makes a stronger coffee, probably because the mesh is very fine & only around the outside of the filter not on the bottom so the coffee takes longer to brew so the grinds steep in the water longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Remy from Best way to filter coffee in a coffee maker. I've been using this for awhile now. It makes coffee taste so good. There is no paper to absorb some of coffee, so you get better tasting coffee and you help the environment. The mesh is very fine and I have no issue with coffee grounds getting into my pot. This was the best thing I could buy for my standard coffee maker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MICH86 from Buy it! This solved all of our problems we were having with standard paper filters. With the paper filters the coffee always overflowed over the top of the filter and grounds would end up in the coffee. This basket is sturdy and rigid and with the lip at the top we haven't had any over-flow issues. Very easy to clean and obviously re-usable so no more paper filters! Highly recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kevron79 from Love This! I have been grinding my own beans and using a french press to make coffee for years, and was hesitant to buy a drip coffee maker. I fell victim to the idea of waking-up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee instead of having to wake-up, stumble through the kitchen half asleep (avoiding sharp objects), boiling water, grinding beans, and waiting 4 minutes for the french press to steep before I could enjoy my craft. When I first purchased my drip maker, I bought some un-bleached coffee filters and made a pot of fresh ground Sumatra. Honestly, it was OK. A little weak compared to what I was used to drinking. I saw this filter and thought I would give it a try. The results from this filter are amazing! The bottom of the filter is solid, not mesh like the side walls. This creates a very different effect inside the machine as the coffee brews. Instead of the water quickly seeping through the bottom of the paper filter, the water is held longer in the basket with the grounds, creating a sort of slurry and much longer water/coffee contact time. A pot of coffee takes a little longer to brew, but the finished result is so close to my french press that I haven't used it since. Grind my beans before bed, set the programmed timer button, and wake-up to pretty impressive coffee. I have seen people complain about the fine sediment that sneaks through and ends up in the coffee, but honestly its minimal, and less than my french press. I'm pretty sure this is the way coffee was intended--minus the 4 minute death-stare I used to give the french press everyday. If you want to upgrade your coffee--buy this!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Debk from needs revising i bought this as I had hard time finding deep enough paper filters. Do not care for it, causes coffee grounds to overspill while brewing. It needs to have screening on the bottom so that it drains evenly.
