Care & Maintenance
Cleaning Your Kettle 1. Mineral deposits in tap water may cause scale deposits to form inside the electric kettle after frequent use. To remove this scale build-up, fill the kettle with a solution of 3 cups of white vinegar and 3 cups water. Let sit overnight. 2. Empty the vinegar solution from the electric kettle. Remove any stain remaining inside by rubbing with a damp cloth. 3. Fill the electric kettle with clean water. Place kettle on power base and bring to a boil, then discard water. Repeat and the electric kettle will be ready to use. 4. The electric kettle will not operate again until the Power Button is pressed downward. 5. The outside of the electric kettle can be wiped with a soft damp cloth. CAUTION: Do not immerse kettle or power base in water or other liquid.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Where have you been all my life??? The Mr. Coffee Electric Kettle is an exceptional product. It’s a no frills item that simply gets the job done. The build quality is superb. It feels like it will last a long time. I absolutely love the “Keep Warm” feature that keeps the kettle at a preset temperature. It allows me to enjoy more fresh cups of tea than before. A blue led light illuminates to let you know that it is on. It’s a simple thing but I appreciate the functionality of it. It looks nicer also. I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and I’m not sure how I’ve been able to go this long without something like this. I drink a lot of herbal teas and it really does brew a tasty cup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Coolest Thing I Didn't Know I Needed Throw out your old tea kettle and evolve! Did you know different teas have different ideal brewing temperatures? The Mr. Coffee Tea Cafe boils water to specific temps and maintains that temperature for up to 30 minutes! Not only does this boil the water quickly and to a desired temperature, I love the swivel base. There's no wrong way you can put the kettle back on making it easy to serve on a grab and go basis. This product is super functional and aesthetically pleasing. Definitely built to last as well. I received my Mr. Coffee free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion. I can honestly say I love it and use it at least once a day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't trust it. My wife bought this for me 2-3 months ago to replace another brand. Had used it quite frequently until we noticed it was no longer shutting off. After removing from the base and then returning it to the base it started heating again. With the light off. Support instructed me to unplug and let it set for 10 minutes for it to reset. I used a different outlet as well. It appears to have corrected the problem. Informed support of the status that I thought it was a safety issue when it wouldn't automatically turn off. Last word from them was to return to point of purchase and get something I wanted. Using it as a watering can for outdoor plants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent design! The Mr. Coffee Electric Kettle is an outstanding product to use. It is a little more advanced than your standard electric kettle that you plug in and it heats up. You have the ability to heat water to a wide range of different heat temperatures and the option to keep the water warm as well. The controls are simple to use and you have a visual feedback to see what temperature you are at. The design of the base is ingenious because it also serves as the power for the kettle. You don't have to worry about leaving the kettle on. Just take it off the base and you are clear. It also has an auto-off if you do leave it on the base.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brewing Made Simple My Coffee Electric Kettle I absolutely love my Mr Coffee stainless kettle. It holds plenty of water for all our needs, it heats the water quickly, it's easy to clean. Works great and looks cool. Sturdy but easy to lift and pour from. The kettle itself is very well built, love how it detached from the base for easy grab and go. It has some weight to it and feels very heavy duty. The lid opens easily with a push of the button on the top of the unit, be careful when opening the lid hot. The blue LED lights are the perfect brightness and adds a nice glow to the kitchen in the morning, and a good reminder it’s on, Works great - indeed faster and quieter than a microwave when boiling like amounts of water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome New Product I have been sent the Mr. Coffee Tea Cafe electric kettle for free for the purpose of reviewing and evaluating the product. I have been using this for hot cups of tea as well as for making iced tea. When brewing for hot tea I have noticed a richer more robust flavor in the tea. When making iced tea our brew time is cut in half and much less mess. The adjustable temp feature is perfect and very easy to use. I also like the lit viewing window allowing me to watch the water as it heats up as well as the beep that let's me know when it is done. One improvement that can be made is for the outer metal housing to remain cool to the touch. Our family is really enjoying our new appliance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple + quick to use, Great around kids! I was recently gifted a Mr. Coffee Tea Café to try out and see how I liked it. I am a big tea drinker (3 cups a day) and have found this to be the best way to make my favorite teas. I've noticed improved flavors as the kettle allows you to set the temperature specifically for the type of tea you are trying to brew. The design goes well with my decor and looks sleek sitting on my counter. Bonus: the no burn feature makes it a dream as I can just set it and forget about it. My nephew even likes using this to make himself ramen (and I feel safe that he's not using an open flame). Only drawback with this product is that I can't stick it in the dishwasher, but this is not a deal breaker for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use this kettle every day This was a gift from relatives. I love every thing about it. Now we don't have to use the stove & be concerned about letting a pot go dry. My husband was concerned that this kettle was made of aluminum. I had already discarded the box it came in & looked in the user manual. No where in there did it say it was stainless steel. I was glad I found the info. online here. It would have saved time if that info. was in the manual. Also you give suggested temperatures for regular tea but not for herb teas. It would be nice to have it & hope you will consider added that also in the future. I would definitely buy this kettle again.
