Impossible to buy replacement filters
Apparently replacement filters for this small size filter disk do not exist. Don't buy the "universal fit" filters available most places - they will not fit this filter holder. Really a shame Mr. Coffee doesn't take better care of their customers.

Water Filter
I brought some a few months ago. It makes great coffee, but then I found out that all you really need is the water filtration disk. not the frame.

How to use the water filter
I just bought the 5 cup mini brew and haven't tried the coffee maker yet but I did figure out how to put the filter on. It comes with a frame so it lies on the top of the filer backset. here is a picture and I hope this helps.

No where to purchase replacement filter disk
I purchased the 5 cup coffee maker for my dad as a gift. The recommendation is to replace the filter disc every 30 days, but it is impossible to find the replacement discs for this size. I've ordered from Amazon twice, both times the seller said they were compatible with 5 cup maker. Both times I received discs made for 12 cup maker. I was hoping I could order them from Mr. Coffee directly but it does not appear that it is possible. Disappointing.

I've tried putting this water filter in a couple different ways. There are no instructions. I've put several extra but can't seem to use them. Why are there no instructions on where to use/put them?

Coffee filter
I started buying the filters 2 years ago. Coffee tastes better than using water without it. Hard to find so when I find them at walmart I stock up.
The only issue I'm having now is the filter is not lasting it last about 15 days before the underside of the filter starts sagging and tears.

Cant find the filters
We bought the 5 cup because we no longer need the big pot, but I can’t find the filter anywhere. Target sells the filter with plastic holder for $5, which means the cost of the filter will exceed the cost of the coffee pot in less than 6 months. Mr. Coffee needs to sell the filters without the holder. They do for the larger size, but not this one. It’s not economical and I imagine not very environmentally friendly to have to but the whole thing every month.
