Make sure your coffeemaker is unplugged and has cooled completely before cleaning. Remove the brew basket, filter carafe, carafe lid, and wash them in a solution of hot water and mild liquid soap, and dry thoroughly.

Please use the following troubleshooting and procedure to use the cleaning cycle. &#10;&#10;1. Please try unplugging the unit for 30-45 seconds and then plugging it back in. &#10;&#10;2. Pour 4 cups of undiluted white household vinegar into the water reservoir, making sure the water filtration disc I removed from the machine. &#10;&#10;3. Place the basket-style paper filter or permanent filter into the filter basket and close the brew basket lid.&#10;&#10;4. Place the empty carafe back into the unit centered on the warmer plate. &#10;&#10;5. Press the select off button until the red clean indicator turns on and for your convenience the cleaning cycle is automatic. The entire cycle takes 45-60 minutes to complete the cleaning process. &#10;&#10;6. During the cleaning process your coffee maker will slowly brew 3 cups of vinegar, it will then pause for 30 minutes to break down deposits but the clean light will remain on to alert you that the process is still active. &#10;&#10;7. After 30 passes, your coffee maker will brew the remainder of the vinegar through the unit and the red light will turn off so will the coffee maker once complete. &#10;&#10;8. Discard the vinegar and rinse the carafe thoroughly with clean water.
