I have owned 2 of these coffee makers and both have started leaking water after a year and a-half or so. Out of warranty, wouldn't you know. I have descaled them often and treated them gently. It's obviously a design flaw. Why has this not been corrected?

For a possible fix, please check the hose in the reservoir, and make sure it is snug on connection. Also, check the filter basket for any drips down the back of the basket onto the trip arm and warming plate. Ensure to use medium grounds and make sure that the water is not exceeding the max line in the water reservoir. Lastly, please run a cleaning cycle into it if the machine hasn't been cleaned recently. We will make sure that our design and production teams are made aware of your feedback. Please be advised that your Clean Indicator will illuminate when your coffeemaker has counted 90 brew cycles or your coffeemaker experiences two consecutive brew cycles lasting longer than 9.5 minutes.
