Care & Maintenance
Make sure your coffeemaker is unplugged and has cooled completely before cleaning. Remove the brew basket, filter carafe, carafe lid, and wash them in a solution of hot water and mild liquid soap, and dry thoroughly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product I have really enjoyed using my Mr. Coffee 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Strong Brew Selector, Stainless Steel coffeemaker everyday. This is a very attractive little coffeemaker that goes well with all of my other black and stainless steel appliances. Aside from being cute it also makes a great cup of coffee. I have loved using the strong brew selector because that's just how I like my coffee. I also like the fact that I can program this coffeemaker because it's great to wake up to freshly brewed pot of coffee. This is a fantastic machine that is very convenient and easy to clean. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a nice little coffeemaker.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just not a good time. I bought this coffee maker in October. It is now December. Its just not working anymore. After brewing some coffee. I went back the next morning and I see the clock is having a a spaz attack. After unplugging and replacing it in it gave me an "Ec2" code. After an extensive Google search all I get back is clean your machine. I can't even get it to brew so all I can do is soak it until it let's me brew. Its now day three and I've still not been able to solve this issue. I tried a power cycle. Nothing. New outlet. Nothing Cleaning with lemon and vinegar. Nothing. Cleaning with descaler. Nothing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressed with the great features! The Mr. COFFEE 12 CUP PROGRAMMABLE COFFEE MAKER is great! Love that it makes 12 cups, and is so easy to use. Wonderful I can set the brew time so I do not have to wake up early to have coffee ready as soon as I walk in the kitchen. It has automatic shut off after 4 hours ,which is great if we happen to forget. That feature offers peace of mind. I like I am able to adjust the flavor for a bolder taste by pressing the STRONG button. This model didn't come with a reusable filter or a water filtration system but you have the option to buy them separately. The directions are simple and easy to understand. Very pleased with this coffee maker!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and Easy to Use I had no problem using this coffee maker. I just needed to fill with water, put the grounds in the top, and wait for delicious goodness to come out. It is a fairly light machine. It is about medium size, so it will take up a little counter space, not a lot. To program it for the morning was fairly easy. It easily holds 12 cups of coffee. I did not get any grounds in my coffee either which is awesome. It is pretty easy to clean out in my sink quickly or in the dish washer. I also do not have to worry about turning it off because of the auto shut off. The only little problem I had was how short the cord was. It made me have to plug it in closer to the wall. Other than that this is an awesome coffee maker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice features. Stylish design You can't go wrong with this coffeemaker. It looks sleek and modern in your kitchen. The stainless steel trim is nice and coordinates with my other appliances.. It has all of the necessary features; grab-a-cup, programmable, strong brew selector. The handle on the carafe is extra nice. It's large and easy to grip, making pouring from a full carafe safer. Programming is easy and a convenient way to save time in the morning. I've also used this feature to have coffee ready to serve with dessert after dinner. The coffeemaker automatically shuts off after four hours, avoiding scorched carafes. Best of all, it makes a great cup of coffee. I highly recommend.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great features, already need replacement parts I bought this model coffee pot just over two months ago. The coffee maker works great and I loved the programmable features. Unfortunately, I went to pour coffee one more and the handle came off the carafe and the glass shattered. I've never had a coffee carafe do that before! And, after so little use. I followed the care instructions and I have no idea what could have happened. On top of it I am unable to find a replacement carafe for this particular model. So, while I loved the machine I can't say I'll purchase the same model again as replacement parts are extremely difficult to find AND I'm already needing parts for a two month old machine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Mr. Coffee coffeemaker I have owned! I always buy Mr. Coffee coffeemakers. I don’t even look at other brands. However, I am so disappointed in this model. The carafe leaks coffee and condensation every time I pour a cup of coffee. The lid to the coffeemaker leaks water onto the counter every time I open it to make a pot of coffee. Not just a couple drops. A small puddle. Very disappointing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Some good features This is a decent coffee maker. I like that its programable. Its easy to set up and use. I chose to get a washable coffee filter instead of paper filters. I also chose to get a special carbon filter and frame. This sits over the coffee filter and is suppose to filter impurities from the water making the coffee taste better. This is where I was a little disappointed. I make two pots of coffee. One with the carbon filter and one without. I used the same brand of coffee and same amount of milk and sugar in both test cups. I honestly couldn't tell the difference. Over all though its a good coffee maker for the price.
