Care & Maintenance
Make sure your coffeemaker is unplugged and has cooled completely before cleaning. Remove the brew basket, filter carafe, carafe lid, and wash them in a solution of hot water and mild liquid soap, and dry thoroughly.
Minerals (calcium/limestone) found in water will leave deposits in your coffeemaker and affect its performance. It's recommended that you regularly remove these deposits using vinegar.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Slow leak over night I picked this up at Kohl's brand new. I set it up to brew with the timer in the morning, so I filled the reservoir with water the night before. In the morning, I had barely two cups of coffee brewed and water was all over the counter. I thought maybe the faucet leaked and maybe I didn't add enough water to make the quantity of coffee I wanted, so I was more careful the next evening. The next morning, it was clear the leak was from the coffee maker. It's a slow leak so not all of the water is gone. As it is now, I can't use the program function anymore so I just brew in the morning but I'm super disappointed. Can't find a crack or where the leak is coming from. Tossed box and receipt of course.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stong electrical/plastic smell Bought to replace old coffee maker where carafe cracked and no replacement found for that model. Everything was cleaned with soap and water prior to use. Smelled like an electrical burn smell when first tried to use. Washed and re-washed multiple times and inspected for obvious cause. Rinsed water through the system multiple times and smell still there. Also noticed hot plate doesn't seem to keep carafe very warm and even on strong brew setting doesn't produce a strong product. Everyone in the family noticed it. Overall, a bad experience, maybe I just have a defective one, but this was disappointing after a lifetime of Mr. Coffee products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value I've had this machine about six months. For the price, I really can't complain. The coffee is solid in taste, doesn't leak, and I can remove the carafe while it's brewing to pour a cup - something I couldn't do with my old Bunn. Speaking of that Bunn (which died) this machine brews just about as fast. It doesn't get as hot as my previous machine, so I don't think it extracts quite as much flavor. But again - for the price - it's solid everyday coffee.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Satisfied Bought last week to replace a Gevalia coffee maker I have had for 10 years. It was nicely priced and the brand was recommended by many people. So far, so good. As I was registering it, I checked out the reviews. I have to say, I am a little disappointed in the fact that I can not seem to find the filter frame and disks to purchase. The only filters I find on the website are for the 5 cup and the Advanced Filter Packs. Nothing that matches the description in the manual I got with my Coffee maker. How and where can I purchase them? I am still giving it a 5star rating all around. I just will spend more time buying bottled water and pouring it in the reservoir. Thank you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Issues after Less than a month I bought this coffee maker with basic expectations. I just want to make drip coffee, I don't even need the programmable function but it would be a nice upgrade from my previous basic pot that finally died. Sadly even in the first pot of coffee, I began to find grinds mixed in. I have since started adding in ore than one coffee filter to attempt to keep them from floating in. Now 2 weeks later my coffee pot will not even brew. I have tried cleaning it out, resetting the outlets and the plugs. Watched videos on how to fix it and nothing has worked. Pretty sad that in less than a month this coffee pot has died.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very happy with this one Been using Mr. Coffee for many years and had prior to this they have been great. Bought this one 2 weeks ago and we're very disappointed. We use the same brand and amount of coffee per pot but almost every pot ends up with grounds in it. Almost as if the basket has an obstruction and the water backs up. The other main difficulty is all the water the we have to clean up every time we lift the cover to make coffee. There is so much condensation we have to keep paper towels handy to clean it up. It ends up all over the left side of the unit, the counter and the warming plate. Seriously thinking of just getting rid of it and purchasing a different machine. Can't recommend this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleek and attractive The look of this coffee pot is very sleek and attractive. It matches all of my stainless steal appliances. This pot can make a very large pot of coffee. It also tells you how long the pot has been sitting, which I really like, because I do not like coffee that has cooked to long. That is a great feature. The only thing I think would improve this pot would be if the timer/clock had a background light. It seems very sturdy. Mr. Coffee has always been a reliable brand. I like the water filter. We drink filtered water in our home, and it is nice that this pot filters the water while it brews. This is another great feature. I would definitely recommend this to my family and friends.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does make hot coffee. Not very good coffee. Blought this yesterday and am not sure I am keeping this. I had water all over my counter and am not sure where it came from. I did not see a scoop in the box with the machine. The clock doesn't have a light and it is very, very hard to set a brew later setting or to see the length of time since the coffee was brewed. I think the area to pour the water into the reservoir seems small and hard to fill. The brew strength button is supposed to stay the way you set it unless you change it or turn off the machine but mine doesn't. You have to remember to select Strong each time you make coffee.
