NOT WORTH $1
This pan has been replaced by Calphalon many times. It warps and gets a big hump in the middle. The coating wears off within 1 year. I use it for saute, sauces and frying on the stove top. NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

Gotta love Calphalon
I have always loved Calphalon cookware..two of my favorite pieces just plumb wore out…I searched for a replacement for a long time..and only recently discovered both pieces on your website..I am over the moon excited ..the new pieces are actually superior to the pieces replaced..this piece in particular is nowhere else on the public market.

Good but no long insulated handle
The pan is of excellent quality however I did not realize it did not have a long handle on one side. So you must use hot pads when cooking which I find cumbersome. Also the lid handle gets hot while cooking.

Didn't even last for a year
When I bought this expensive pan, I had expected it to last for at least a few years. But unfortunately, after only 4 months of use, the bottom of the pan began to warp. Mind you, I never use high heat when I cook in non-stick pans. I mostly used this when I made fried-rice and sauteed vegetables, once or twice a week, so it's not that often, yet after 4 months the center part was raised up and the food began to stick. The non-stick coating is still there, but uneven heat distribution would make the food stick to the center somehow. Now I'm into 10 months using this pan and every food I put in gets burnt in the center, uncooked on the outside rim area making it unusable. I am currently contacting the customer service to see if I get a replacement. Hopefully their warranty system is as good as they promise.

Exactly what I wanted! I am replacing all pots and pans with double handled versions in order to better lift as I age and deal with chronic pain. Calphalon products are extremely well made for a reasonable price.

Poor quality
When I chose to make this expensive purchase I was under the impression that it was made in the US. What I received was a cheaper version of quality cookware. The finish inside the pan is already starting to peel.

Warped on first use
Warped on first use! Customer service runaround for replacement. The very first time we used the pan we heated it on medium heat on the stove. Before adding any ingredients it had already warped. I submitted a warranty claim and was told I would have to ship the pan back (at my expense) and wait 30+ days for a replacement. Unacceptable!

Kitchen Must-Have
I purchased this pan to replace my old 7-qt. sauteuse whose finish was chipping after many years of service. It was my absolute favorite piece of everything in my kitchen. While the replacement is the usual Calphalon quality, I gave it only 4 stars as it is a bit deeper but smaller in diameter than its predecessor. What I loved most about the older pan was its large surface area. I am also not thrilled with the warning to not use spray oils (ie. Pam) as I use these frequently. I would still recommend this pan as it is a staple in my kitchen and the previous version is no longer available.

Wonderful pan, buy direct
Best pan I've ever had. I use it for literally everything, and it has replaced all of my other pans. The only thing I would caution a buyer of is to be aware of the warranty policy. My first pan was bought on Amazon, but NOT from one of the "approved sellers". So when the non-stick surface began to peel after two years (due to a new kind of metal utensil), even though this should have been covered by the warranty, it wasn't, just because of where I had bought the pan. So not only did I spend more than I should have, but the warranty didn't even apply.
I decided to bite the bullet and bought a new pan (directly from Calphalon this time), but had a manufacturing issue with the one that arrived. Customer service was fantastic and immediately replaced the pan. This pan was perfect, and I look forward to using it for a long time to come.
Note to customers: even though this pan is touted as "metal utensil -safe", I would caution about the use of metal utensils. My flexible, thin fish turner works beautifully with no issue (used for almost two years). A stiffer, stainless steel turner completely scratched up the surface within weeks of use.

Better Version
This version is much better than the onewe got just 3 years ago. Our use is level is about 2 times a week and in the second year the previous version's coating began to degrade. This surprised us as we always use wooden or plastic utensils to protect the surface. Then the underlying metal began to show corrosion. The pan is ideal for making two nights worth of many of our favorite dishes. The new version appears to have a smoother land harder surface and is notewothy for being dishwasher safe whih is a blessing in our busy household. I hope my impression is born out.

Pan is big and very functional. Metal handles on pan and handle on top of cover get very hot. You need to be very conscious of this so you don't forget to use hot pads.

Replaced a variety of skillets and sauce pans for Christmas. These pans are the best. They are so slick, even without oil, it's amazing. The build quality is 1st rate and the lifetime guarantee made it a no-brainer. We use 2 or 3 of the pieces we bought daily. We should have done it long ago.

Frustrated
I received an email with a 50% offer so I ordered one 7 qt sauteuse. Then decided to order a second one but could not find the original emai and website only offered 25% discount so I called Calphalon. After 40 minutes on the phone with your rep I was getting frustrated, I told her either you can give me the additional pan at 50g off or you can't but I don't have time to continue this call any longer. She agreed to place the second order with 50% off.
I recd the first order quickly but after 2 weeks I called to inquire about second pan, your rep said she emailed whse to expedite 2nd order. Well 2 more weeks passed and I called again, this time rep canceled the order for the second pan and reordered.
I finally recd 2nd pan in about 5 weeks.
This was a horrible experience and who has the time to make 3 calls in addition to the aggravation!
Was a very unpleasant experience to say the least.
Therefore I am very hesitant to recommend to anyone else.

Very disappointed
This is a beautiful pan and worked wonderfully for the first three uses. But at the fourth use, the bottom of the pan was warped and no longer sits flat on the stove. Its a glass-top electric stove and the highest setting we used was 6.5 out of 10.

My go to pan!
I love this pan! It’s my go to for everything. It’s very large and extends over my cooktop burner, but the food cooks evenly. The coating has held up well and so far there has been no warping. This is the best pan that I own so now I need to add more to make a set.
