Rated 1 out of 5 by from Crap, 100% Pure Crap I've been drinking the Calphalon Kool-Aid (actually it was flavor-aid for those old enough to remember Jonestown) since the early 1990’s but now I’ve had enough of the baloney, the outright lies of the superior product they push through advertisement and sensory overload. I was a faithful and dedicated Calphalon supporter and buyer, spent thousands upon thousand of dollars on their indestructible, “guaranteed for life” pots and pans, but now I’m done! Yes they stand behind their products, they will replace them, yes I get that…. But when you “build” a pan for $1.92 and sell it for $49.99 you can afford to replace this product for free! Wow, you build crap for $1.92 and you guarantee it for life, of course you do! I was one of the very first to review the Calphalon “Premier” pots and pans, a follow-on from their Calphalon Contemporary line. I noticed how quickly the product scratched and sent photo’s…. Suddenly Calphalon comes out with the “new and improved” Premier line….. Last night I used metal utensils for the VERY FIRST TIME EVER on one of my Calphalon Premier Pans…. See the atch’d photo’s for the results…. That’s it, I’m done with the crap Calphalon put out and “stands behind”….. Hexclad, here I come!

After years of being disappointed with other nonstick pans that don't stay nonstick, it's such a relief to have finally found one that I won't have to throw away in a few months. There are plenty of beautiful ceramic pans that seem like they'd have great lasting nonstick, but in my experience, that always wears out in no time. The surface of these pans isn't slick - it's bumpy, and that's why it works and lasts so well. I also love the high sides on these pans, which makes them good for all sorts of things, not just frying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Good Investment These are very good and do last. A deal can often be gotten on them if you purchase them at Kohl's or other retailers, and they're worth the price. The non-stick surface has maintained well after daily use, even with oil. I generally hand wash the pans with soap, for reference. They're well-constructed, with an attractive look and even heat distribution, and the non-stick capability is lasting. I highly recommend these pans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding pans! I’ve been cooking with Calphalon for more than forty years. Thirty + years with a Classic aluminum set and the last ten with tri-ply stainless steel. These non-stick appear to be keepers too. Looking forward to replacing my two 8” non-stick omelette pans when my current non-Calphalon pans wear out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don’t Buy the Set. Go Solo on the 10”. The 10” pan works very nicely. I’ve been enjoying the 10” pan especially for omelettes. So easy to get that perfect shape and color. Very non stick and easy to use! Calphalon is aligned with my values so I feel good buying product from them. The issue is with the 8” pan. It has the same size/weight handle as the 10” pan. This may save money in manufacturing but it makes for a pan that won’t stay flat on the counter or stove (where it’s especially dangerous). The weight of the handle causes the pan to tip anytime one touches the pan to stir or handle the food. It’s a very unbalanced product. I’ve never had to use both hands to cook in a pan before barring my wok. The 8” pan is a waste of money - I mean, it’s there if I NEED it but I don’t want to use it. I bought them as a set and wish I could return the 8” for a refund but that’s not an option I’m sure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handles too long? The handles are nice to be long but they are heavy and prevent the pan from staying flat on my electric stove. It is probably the stove but something that bothers. Also they stick out so far that I have bumped them almost making the pan fly off the stove! I will get used to them I guess. I have older Calphalon pans that don’t do this. Other than this the pans are wonderful. Heavy and nonstick but brown nicely.

So I ordered a new set. And these are not slippery at all actually have to scrape the eggs off of them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Warped pan after less than 6 months In less than 6 months, the 10" pan, which I use almost daily, is already warped and will not sit flat. The nonstick finish appears worn out. I only handwash this using a sponge for nonstick cookware. I always let the pan cool before washing it, to avoid warping. Doesn't matter. I wrote to Calphalon to complain and it took them weeks to respond. Their requirements to get any type of refund or replacement are so ridiculous and time consuming, probably to discourage any customer to want to jump through their hoops. I do not recommend this brand or this cookware set.
