Heating handles over gas cook top
The pan is ligjter in weight but the handles are prone to heating more that the heavier pans. We use a gas cook top and never had hot handles with the previous heavier calphalon pots and pans. On this larger pan, it is a fair trade, but the same is truw with the smaller, lighter pots and pans. I would rather have small pots and pans that are heavier with handles that stay cool over a gas cook top.

Not as heavy to handle
I have been using Calphalon for over 30 years and have many pans in different sizes including pasta inserts and lids. I am replacing a large non stick coated frying pan as the non stick is beginning to age.
The replacement pan I ordered is lighter which is a plus since now I am old and the pans get heavy haha! Will be 75 soon and visit the gym to keep up my pan strength!

Outstanding Pans
The anodized finish is hardy. We have tried many non-stick gimmicks that are trashed easily. We have 15 year old anondized pans that are used regularly and are still working well. This will be our standard going forth.

a fine skillet
I was surprised at how thin walled this skillet is. I bought it to replace an old one, which was sturdier and slightly heavier. Otherwise it seems to be fine, and hey, the benefit of being lighter weight is a plus, I guess.

If you are replacing an old Calphalon pan with a new one, you will be disappointed. The metal thickness of the pan is at least 50% thinner than the old one, and the metal handle is pressed sheet metal that conduct lots of heat. The cost has gone up for an inferior pan.

Stir fry success. This is very durable and can handle high heat equivalent to a skillet, easy cleaning with my dawn dish spray no hassle, and the 12 inch is what my vegetables needed to be tossed no discomfort handle has good grip

Love the large surface
I received the Calphalon Hard-Anodized Nonstick 12" Fry Pan and have been using it since its arrival. I love the large surface and it really does not stick. I suggest using silicon based utensils to prolong the longevity of the pan and protect the non stick coat on the pan. Perfect and so happy Influenster and Calphalon gave me the opportunity to own this!

Perfect size pan for everyday cooking! Easy to clean.
This is the perfect size pan to cook anything from eggs to a meat sauce for pasta. Very versatile and if you only get 1 size pan it should be this one. It’s light weight and easy to hold/not clunky or super heavy weight like a lot of pans so I love that. I’ve used for a few weeks now it really is non-stick and also very easy to clean!

It has made me want to throw all my others away
I absolutely love the durability and versatility of this pan! Being able to use it on the stove and in the oven is so wonderful. The food also comes out so well because the heat distribution is really good. It is actually nonstick and therefore cleans so easily. It has made me want to throw away all my other plans because they stick and are hard to clean.

Top of the line cookware!
I wanted to cook a few times in it before I reviewed! Wow! The size is amazing and great for my large family! Cleaning is a breeze and comes off easily when hand washed! The durability is great - I was able to cook 3 dozen eggs in it at one time! Very happy with this product and would definitely purchase on my own!
