Not at all as good as our old Calphalon.
Owner a similar calphalon pan for 10 years and loved it. Intended to replace it with this one, but they’re hardly the same. The pan thickness is a bit thin, makes the pan feel a bit too light and flimsy. I prefer a beefier feel. The non stick coating seems solid after a few tries. But the handle gets REALLY hot on our gas stove. Not good. We had to use an oven mitt to hold it while cooking! The lid is also sub-optimal. Overall works fine, but the lid handle gets hot as well. Not as big a deal as the pan handle, but we had none of these issues with the old calphalon we are replacing. Perhaps their quality is going downhill.

Awesome Personified
My wife needed a new, extra large, deep frying pan after the one she used for 20 years gave up the ghost back in the late summer 2024. She has already put her new prized possession to good use and we have enjoyed among other delectables her chili.

Good pan but…
Just purchased 3rd 12” jumbo pan, great product until the most current version release. New handle design eliminated the coated handles and they now burn your hand during use. MUST use some type of handle cover which is a significant downgrade… disappointed.

Hot handle
Or if the pan contents are too liquid, I will use a trivet to stabilize the pan if I have to move it from the stove to the oven or oven to counter andmake sure the food doesn't slosh around and spill. Otherwise, one off my most used pieces in my collection.

Non-Stick Coating Does Not Last
Non-stick coating scratched within 1 month of light usage. Only used wooden spatula and cleaned with non-stick safe sponge. Disappointed.

Great pan. easy clean up worth the price. I like to cook but warping is a big no, no. This pan stays solid. Even under high heat. It's a wok as well. The set I bought frying pans too small. This one is perfect and covers everything I need to cook

Quality not the same
I had the same pan for almost 8 yrs and loved it, so when I had to replace it, I wanted the exact same pan, and was lucky to find the same one but the quality of this new one is very light as compared to the old one, I am little disappointed Calphalon!

Handle becomes uncomfortably hot
In the “features” section, the product claims to have Stay-Cool Handles, but in reality, the handle becomes uncomfortably hot with minimal use, making this feature misleading. Bought it on Thanksgiving sale.

Love the size!
I absolutely love the deep and generous size of this skillet! It allows me to make large one pot meals and stuff like fried rice without anything spilling out. The only thing I’ve noticed is that the handles do seem cheaper with them being hollowed out rather than solid like older versions of this line have.

No spillage frypan!
When they say jumbo, they mean it. This pan is great. It's nice and big. Not a heavy pan. Lid is what makes it heavy. No spillage over sides when preparing foods like spagetti. I was afraid it may be too much like a wok, but it's like a frypan with tall sides. I absolutely love this pan.

Easily manageable jumbo pan!
I am really happy with this jumbo frying pan! I really like the design as it is very manageable even with its large size. It is not too heavy which makes cooking and washing it easy. The nonstick feature also makes cooking and cleaning it a breeze! The fact that it is dishwasher safe is also convenient, however I would personally just wash it being it cleans easily and would take up a lot of room in the dishwasher. I used it on a gas stove, but it can be used on electric and glass stovetops as well. A little added bonus to Calphalon is their packaging- it was very sturdy and had quality feel, even incorporating plastic stoppers to prevent the cover from clashing with the pan.

I am so thrilled to use this Calphalon Hard Anodized nonstick 12” jumbo fry pan. It comes with a cover. The fry pan is so sturdy and durable. Great for sautéing. As it is non-stick, I like using this with vegetables like potatoes, okra and eggplant. It hand a great helper handle to hold while sautéing. The quality is so good. It heats up quickly. It can be hand washed or can be washed in a dishwasher. The bottom is flat and it goes perfectly on my stove. I am

Even cooking and easy cleanup
Well i tested this out by cooking some smothered pork chops and it was really nice to work with. Neither the wood or the little metal handle on the other side got too hot to handle during the frying process and neither did the lid once i had the chops and gravy simmering. It was also super easy to clean. I would be open to trying other pots and pans that they have.

Nice size for multiple uses
I received the Calphalon Hard Anodized Nonstick Fry Pan free for review from Influenster. That in no way changes my honest opinion of this product. Straight out of the box, this pan is HEAVY! I personally like a heavy pan and have always related it to higher quality and performance. The pan is a really nice size and depth. I could easily use it to fry chicken or as a substitute for a wok when making some at home Asian cuisine. The pan is hard anodized, so I would typically throw it in the dishwasher to clean, but I feel like hand washing would keep it looking nicer and lasting longer. The non-stick coating works great so far, and the pan heats evenly so while cooking.

Durable, lightweight, and super non stick
I absolutely love this pan, it cooks amazing. The non stick is next level on this one. I have basically only been using this pan for all my meals, especially stir fry’s. It is very light weight for the size. I will say the only downside fall is not having any rubber on the handle to pick up when it’s hot, but I can live without it.
