Bubbles over frequently
Cooked rice and it bubbled over all over the stove. I really did not do anything differently than I have in the past. Also happened with potatoes. Now I know I need to prop the lid slightly to avoid that from happening, but kinda defeats the purpose, right?

Poor design
I purchased this pan from Amazon to replace my previous nonstick Calphalon saucepan. The handle on the new model is hollow, allowing the heat that comes up the side of the pan to pour through the handle like a chimney. It makes it nearly impossible to pick up the pan without a potholder. Very poor design.

Sadly, not built like old set
Not the quality they used to be, thinner and the handles get hot. They used to be made heavy. Sadly, I left my old saucepan inthe burner and caramelized sugar which finally did it in. I bought this to replace it. Not even close. Very sad.

Material composition not listed on their web site. This 3.5 Qt. sauce pan is made in China and contains PTFE which only shows on the cardboard wrap when I received the new pan. The world is moving away from these products that are toxic when either heated to 500 degrees F. or if the product is scratched, (Have you ever scratched a non stick pan? I have.) Please read the precautions about PTFE on independent websites to make an informed purchase. My wife used this pan before I had a chance to return it.

Straining lid not stackable.
I added to my Calphalon sauce pan collection but was disappointed when I saw the deep rimmed lid for straining purposes. It just doesn't stack with my other lids and takes up too much space. But I deal with it.

Poor quality at a higher price
We have been buying and using Calphalon cookware for 30 years. This new pot is not the same quality and craftsmanship as the pot it replaced. The other pot was heavier and the handles didn't get hot.

Highest quality non-stick saucepan EVER
I’ve gone through plenty of non-stick pans in my life and can’t stand it when no matter how carefully I take care of them, they get dull, scratchy, and EVERYthing sticks!! This pan is a marked improvement with a really durable non-stick interior and breezy clean-up, even when making homemade caramels!! There is actually less tension in our home as no one minds “scrubbing the pan” anymore!! It’s the best non-stick finish I’ve ever come across!! Improve your life, get this pan!!

I absolutely love this pot. It cleans up nicely, it's non stick, it strains with the lid on. It allows steam to either trap and steam food or escape depending on how you turn it. The inside has measure marks so you can see how much you have in the pot. Highly recommend!

The Calphalon Hard Anodized 3.5qt saucepan is wonderful! My absolute favorite feature of the pan is the sides having water measuring lines. This is helpful for making candy and making sure you have enough water or milk with out getting another measuring cup dirty!

This pot is top shelf quality because of its ergonomic design and built in measuring lines. It’s a sleek and chic matte black color. The size of the 3.5 qt is perfect for sauces, soups, boiling noodles for small sides and making quinoa for one. The heat distribution was put to test and performed exceptionally well. Food did not stick on the bottom while under a gas flame! It’s my go to choice and is easy to drain because of the slotted lid- I can’t forget that part!

This is a great, versatile saucepan for soups, sauces, pasta, you name it. It is very easy to clean and withstands the heat from my gas stove. I love that the lid comes with little holes, which makes it super easy to strain any liquid out.

My New Favorite Pot
This pot is amazing. It has a measuring scale on the inside- what?!?! 👀 And- the lid has holes so you can drain liquid right from the pot without having to use a colander. ❤️❤️. It is beautiful and has a matte/stainless steel handle. Heat distribution is perfect and this pot is easy to clean and dishwasher safe.

The Calphalon hard-anodized non-stick saucepan is a great product. It heats up quickly and definitely nothing sticks. Super easy to clean too. I made mashed potatoes in it and was worried the surface might scratch from the smasher but nope, all good. I love it! I definitely recommend the brand!!!
