Ensure that the cup size selector is set to the larger icon (10 ounces) for a larger cup of coffee.
Depending on the types of Keurig® K-Cup® used, the dispensing needle on the KG5 can become clogged, which may slow the brew process. If it seems like this is happening you can use a small tool similar to a paper clip to unclog the needle.
Check the following:
Check that the water is not past the fill line and that the rubber gasket is around the Entrance Needle on the top of the brew head (be careful as the needle is sharp)
The Exit Needle in the bottom of the Keurig® K-Cup® Holder Assembly may be partially blocked. Refer to the Instruction Book for cleaning instructions (using a clean paper clip to remove any blockage).
If you have cleaned the Exit Needle and the condition still exists, you can use the straightened, clean paper clip to clean the Entrance Needle in the Brew Head. You should open the Brew Head and gently insert the paper clip into the 3 small openings where the Entrance Needle meets the rubber gasket (be careful as the needle is sharp)
Check the following:
If the drip tray gets overfilled, it can cause the appearance of a leak. Remove the drip tray and empty it.
Do not use distilled or reverse osmosis water. This may cause the brewer to not function properly. The KG5 requires the natural minerals in water to sense the correct serving sizes.

If you used reverse osmosis or distilled water, you can purge the unit's reservoir.
Place an empty cup in the dispense area, and hold the brew button for several seconds. This will purge the heating reservoir of water.
Check the following:
Blinking indicators mean that there is not enough water in the reservoir to brew the selected serving size. Please re-fill the reservoir and start again.
Using distilled or reverse osmosis water can trick the KG5 into thinking there is not enough water in the reservoir, meaning it needs to be refilled. If this happens, empty your reservoir of distilled water and switch to non-distilled water.
Make sure of the following:
Ensure that you have pushed the Brew / Off button
Give the unit a few seconds to allow the water to go into the internal heating reservoir and then they should see the Heating Light indicator illuminate.
Unit will not begin heating water until brew button is pushed. T
here may not be enough water. Remove the reservoir, fill to the fill line and try brewing again.
